I'm an Aunt! (C-Section question) by
Bryna729
My sister had her first baby last night, a girl! I'm so excited! But she had
to have a C-section after many, many hours of labor and a few hours of pushing.
We'd planned for her to spend the two weeks after giving birth at my house to
recover, and now I'm wondering what special needs she might...

Ultrasound results--GENDER!!!!! by
JennP
It's a girl!!!!! *Very* clearly a girl!
We were pretty surprised actually, but we are thrilled. Matthew was
surprisingly thrilled. In the week since we told him I was pregnant he kept
referring to the baby as he and would only talk about boy names. When the
u/s tech told us it's a girl his face...

Julia Roberts' pregnancy by
Hillary Israeli
So, CNN is reporting that she's pg with twins, and CNN is further
reporting that US Weekly says she's nine weeks along, and Star Magazine
is reporting that the twins are a boy and a girl. Uh, how would anyone
know the sex at nine weeks? Unless, I guess, she had IVF, and prenatal
karyotyping of the...

My own name question by
Denise Anderson
Ok.. My DH is gonna be deploying this week so he definitly won't be her when
this DD arrives. All the sudden I'm terrified I won't be able to fill out
the birth certificate paperwork because we haven't agreed on a name yet.
Here's our short list. I've won the middle name battle, it doesn't...

Health insurance question for USAians by
Donna
Hey all-
For the last five years, I've been carried under my husband's health
insurance policy (which has been amazingly good). He's about to finish his
residency program, and we had planned to COBRA his insurance until his new
position started in September. The thing is that his new job looks a...

Okay, my concerns are this: My wife and I are expecting our first

a outstanding sex life. Okay, let me get to the point; she is 5'4" and

10 week appointment by
Donna Metler
Basically, everything looks great. The BP is actually measuring a bit lower
in the office than on my home meter (if its going to be in error, we'd much
rather have it measuring high than low). They were even able to get a
heartbeat on the doppler, even though usually it is uncertain this early...

Charting BBT - Highs and Lows by
Shannon
I was just curious from those of you who chart, what is a typical high
temp and a typical low. I'm reading the book 'Taking Charge of Your
Fertility' and it looks like 97 is the low and 99 is the high.
Mostly I'm just trying to get an understanding of the variation that
would occur. Also, I'm on...

I did some work in our landscaping this morning and when I was thru I came

Head engagement and blood (TMI) by
melizabeth
I think the baby's head is engaging. Yesterday I had twinges and some pain
on my pelvic floor. Would any of this activity cause some blood to be in
the discharge (sorry TMI)? It isn't fresh or even alot...more of a slight
tinge.
Thank you!

missed period by
Shannon
Ok...so my doctor advised me to not ttc until after I get a period
after coming off the pill. Did I listen to her?...nope. She said the
reason was so that it would be easier to date the baby. For some
reason I never completely understood that, but now I think I do, and I
wish I had listened to...
