trying to concieve by [email protected]
My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for the last six months and have had no luck so far. I have PCOD. I have been on the drug Metformin since December. I got pregnant after a couple of months of trying with my first. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Historical perspective on childbirth by Chris
My mother passed away this past fall and my father has taken to emailing all of his children a daily "journal" so that he can share with us what has gone on during his day. I found the entry he wrote for my oldest sister's birthday an interesting comparison to how my husband and I approached...

why did you choose formula? by Benevolent Prof
I'm a breastfeeding mom and have always assumed that I would be. So it comes as a surprise to me that some people choose formula feeding. It is with the greatest of respect and deference that I ask, why did you choose formula over breast? I have friends and acquaintances who are bottlefeeding...

Vitamin D? by Donna Metler
According to her recent blood work, Alli doesn't have high enough vitamin D stores, so supplements are recommended since she's just getting breast milk now. However, the tri-vi-sol makes her VERY fussy (and honestly, her reflux gets so bad after getting it that I doubt she's actually keeping much)....

33.5 Week Update by CY
Nothing new to report. Still measuring ahead (now at 38 weeks), but BP is perfect (unlike last time where at this point I was having PIH), baby's heartbeat is perfect (145), and doc seems to think baby would weigh about 5 lbs if born now...using my calculations, if he grows at .5 lbs a week,...

I am currently getting bitten by some little bug - often and the bites are coming up as welts, and very itchy - and I have masses of them - I'm very uncomfortable and I don't know what it is. The pictures I've seen of bed bugs, lice, fleas, etc don't look like the creatures we've seen, although...

What hospital do you recommend in Boston, MA? by seijak
I=B4m relatively new to Boston and just found out that I=B4m pregnant. What hospital would you recommend and why? Mass General and NEMC are the closest hospitals for me, so I=B4m considering them. NEMC would be the cheapest option for me. Have you any negative comments about those hospitals? Do...

Can a baby drop without feeling any relief? by carlye
For the last five days or so, I've been feeling the uncomfortable signs of a dropped baby -- *greatly* increased urgency/frequency of urination, pressure on my pelvic region, and some new back pain -- but I haven't felt the "relief" of a less crowded stomach or lungs. Is it possible for a baby to...

Cramping at 34 weeks by KD
G'day folks: As advertised, I'm having a bit of a cramping issue, been happening for a couple of weeks. It feels almost like menstrual cramps, but not bad ones, just sort of annoying. I asked the doc about these at my appointment last week, she says this is normal. The question I didn't think of...
