About baby stuff... by
Jen
Dear all,
I have a question regarding my baby; however, it doesn't really related to
pregnancy. But I couldn't find a good group to ask...so please forgive me
to use the space here.
I have got a cloth book for my baby as a Christmas gift. It doesn't mention
any maintenance suggestion; however, my...

x-posted: Meg's 8 week weight by
Dagny
Hey all, a midwife friend brought her scale over and Meg is 13 pounds, 12
ounces in street clothes today, at eight weeks exactly! She's sticking on
that 95% line on the growth chart. It was nice because I won't go for
another WBV for another month, and even then am considering skipping it so
we...

My first BH contractions by
DeliciousTruffles
I had my 32-week OB appointment yesterday and he asked if I had had any
contractions. I said I hadn't. Then, lo and behold, today I get them. :-P
So I'm just taking it easy today but I somehow have to get to the
grocery store to buy a ham for tomorrow's dinner. DH, sweetheart that
he is, says...

I am gaining weight now!! by
Jill
Since December 16, which is when I had my ultrasound, I have gained almost 7
pounds. Wow!! I am 5 months along on Monday....I just weighed and am now
down just 4-5 pounds or so from my pre-pregnancy weight. I was so worried
about this for a long time, I just have to comment! I don't want to gain...

A New Arrival by
nichole
Just wanted to drop a quick note that Salome Andrea was born on December 9th.
I had a c section after two failed versions. Thanks to everybody for your
advice and good wishes regarding my second version, it just wasn't meant to
happen. The doctor trying the version seemed very skilled and tried...

Margaret's birth (long) by
Liz S. Reynolds
As promised, here's the long version. With this I'll be saying adieu and
wandering back on over to m.k.b. With two children now, I don't know if
I'll ever be pregnant again and I'm kind of sad about it. Best of luck to
all of you and thanks for all the humor and advice.

FAO Sophie conception question by
Mary
Don't you love being the mkp fertility consultant? :)
Are you the one who said she got pregnant at 1dpo? TCOYF says that by
the time you see the temp jump, it's too late. Just wondering if
there's an IRL example contradicting that.
I'm 8dpo and just had a big temp spike this morning (98 to...

How to tell when you are in labor by
Daye
Hello all...
Okay, this may sound like a stupid question because I already have a
child. I never went into labor with #1. So I have no idea what labor
pains feel like. I am not currently experiencing any weird pains, but
I am 37+ weeks pregnant.
How do you know you are in labor? Are there any...

x-no-archive: yes
I followed mkp before we were even married, and through my pregnancy,
but barely posted at all. After my son was born, I posted a little bit
more often on mk and mkb. But in short, I expect very few people if
anyone to remember me/us :) I see that Mary is back on the group...

Have They Changed Things? by
Marnie
OK, sorry if this has been covered here recently ...
All the pg women I'm running into are totally astounded that I 1) have not
had a doctor's appointment "yet" and 2) haven't had an ultrasound and will
probably just have one unless something comes up.
Now, my youngest DD is 19 months old, and...

Leanne
I've worked out what it was after being so uncomfortable that i called my
midwife... apparently its squishy rubbing his foot up and down the side of
my right rib, and flicking the inside of it.. i never thought of this myself
because i didnt think he was big enough... i was obviously wrong...

a pospartum question by
mom2fallbabies
I had Madeline 7 wks ago, vag delivery, 2nd degree episiotomy. The
lochia had slowed to a barely detectable brownish dishcharge, like the
end of a period at 4 weeks. It was still there at the 6 wk check up,
which the dr said was normal.
During the exam she said my cervix looked normal, but ended...
