Merry Christmas to all, I hope you all got what you wanted this
year....
My EDD is today... although, if all is well, I can't imagine that I'll
be having this baby until the 13th of January. However...this morning
about an hour after getting up, I developed a pretty painful stitch in
my right...

Breast Milk Expressing by
Linda
Ok, this is kind of vain I suppose - please forgive me.
At one of the antenatal classes we've been going to they were explaining how
to express by hand - kind of like milking a cow. Now I grew up on a farm
and milking cows was one of my jobs and I can only imagine that expressing
by hand is really...

Does everyone have mixed feelings? by
[email protected]
I got a positive test result yesterday. I didn't really need the test
since I already knew. I've been through this before and the symptoms
were unmistakable. I wanted the test to be positive but as soon as I
saw the "+" sign appear, I freaked. "Oh my god, I'm not ready for
this." was the...

Stitch in the side by

major stitch in my right side. From about an hour after breakfast for
about 6 hours. Then it went away like it never existed. This morning,
an hour after getting up, it's come back. It's very owie, but I don't
know what it could be,...

Time to conceive? (poll) by
[email protected]
Hi,
I created a poll to see how long it took most people to get pregnant.
I'd appreciate it if you could spend a few secs and take it:
http://www.pollmenow.com/poll.aspx?goto=271
I can share the final results when enough people have taken it.
Thanks!

Switching from hospital to midwife care by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
I've finally made arrangements with a midwife both my husband and I
like, and I'm switching over to her for my prenatal appointments and
the birth itself (it'll be a homebirth if all goes well). I am now in
my 33rd week and was wondering what sorts of routine hospital tests I
will be missing as a...

Depo Question by
Clair Pepper
Hi all
I was supposed to have my Depo Injection done in August of this year. I did
not have it done as my partner and I decided that we wanted to start trying
for a baby. I have had one period since which started about 3 weeks ago but
I am not sure if it was a "proper period" or not as I was just...

Co-sleeping with newborn: must I go without pillow and duvet? by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
I plan to co-sleep with my baby, just as my mother co-slept with me and
my sister when we were little.
From what I've been reading, the safest thing to do is sleep on a bare
mattress, warmly dressed, but with no duvet or pillows. At least that
seems to be the recommendation for the very youngest...

tampons and m/c by
cara
I had a m/c over the weekend and am still bleeding. We have friends in
town, my kids are out of school for the holiday break, and we had lots
of fun plans to go to the pool, beach, camping, etc. I've read that
tampons should be avoided following m/c - how strictly should this
advise be adhered...
