Milk supply down? (x-post) by
Jill
I nurse on demand and everything has been going ok- I just have a couple
questions..
First, I alternate sides and keep her on each breast equally (I try to!),
but it still seems my left breast produces significantly less than my right.
Is this normal and what can I do? I am trying to pump the left...

Di
Recently came across this newsgroup and Iam really glad that it exists
and has wonderful information. Iam ttc my #1 for about 7 cycles now.
My cycle usually lasts for 32-35 days. Iam using the OPKs. Past few
cycles we timed it perfectly around ovulation and notice that the
period only got delayed...

baby/career by
Gillian
I've been at home for 9 month with my incredible baby girl--I had
planned to go back to work, but I took one look at her and quit a very
good position on the fast track to bigger and better things. I
certainly couldn't afford it financially, but the plastic card does
the job. But ever since her...

update to car accident by
A&G&K
I ended up calling the midwives at the hospital hoping they would just say
"just see the Ob on Thursday unless there is any trouble" ... but they asked
me to come in.
They put the heartbeat / contraction monitor on and all seemed OK with no
major deviations on the chart (no contrax and HB between...

FAO Jamie Clark by
Sue
Hi Jamie,
I am not sure if you read misc.kids or not, but there is a post about a mom
interested in getting her baby into modeling. I had thought of you and
wondered if you minded going over there and telling her of your experience.

I've been looking at all the darling personalized I'm a Big Sister

The embroidered ones are appealing, but appear to be rather puckered
in the photos.
Have any of you rec'd an embroidered one and is this the case?

Strep B screening by
Kim E.
Hi all-
I never knew how complicated pregnancy would be! I just found out at my
last appt about Strep B screening. I found some literature so I know
basically what Strep B is and the (rare) effects it can have on a
newborn...so what I am looking for is people's opinions about the
screening.

Can you do anything about mood swings by
Donna Metler
I honestly feel like myself at my worst few days premenstural-except that
there's no signs of lifting. And I know my husband is feeling it. (His
sister chastised him for calling me "irritable"-although he's 100% correct).
Is there anything I can do to minimize these mood swings? I don't...

Fussiness while drinking by
ChitaShines
From time to time, my 1-1/2 mo old is really fidgety when I'm feeding her.
She will squirm and arch her back almost during the whole feeding. I bring
her up several times to burp and that doesn't seem to remedy the problem.
Could it be her bowels causing her the distress?

Sciatic Nerve/Lower Back pain... normal at 18 weeks? by
Ms. Fonebone
Hi,
I have a busy 23 month-old toddler, so I roll around/crawl/run/rough
house with him quite a bit.
For the last day or so I've gotten some sharp pain (feels like a
pinched nerve) in the lower back & shooting pains down what feels like
the back of my right leg/bum. Also noticing it late at night...

Has ANYONE who was induced actually managed to deliver? by
Donna Metler
I was talking to a friend who just had a baby, where they induced at 42
weeks, and after 16 hours, the doctor did a C-section. And it seems that
this is pretty typical of people here, too. If it usually fails, why put
women through the pain of induced labor, followed by a C-section? It just
seems...

Bad foods for breastmilk by
ChitaShines
What foods have you found that affect your baby the most? At times, my baby
has alot of gas and is stopped up (won't poo) for several days at a time.
It's very difficult for me to pinpoint what foods could be causing this as I
normally eat healthy foods which have a high fiber content which would...

Why does this bother me? (re - breastfeeding) by
Sophie
Mini-vent coming on -
As a person who did not/does not breastfeed, why does it bother me when
people say breastfeeding in public is "inappropriate" - and particularly
it's inappropriate in a **restaurant**?? Ugh! I can't imagine how it makes
breastfeeders feel. It's absolutely insane. First of...
