Are You Using All In One Diapers? by
Carol Ann
I bought 10 of them and they are too small. I forced myself to use at least
one on Morgan and when she sneezed it popped open.
If you have medium, large or extra large and could use the small, would you
consider trading???
I have 9 not used.

Rachel's weight, Isis, etc...question by
Jill
I went for a (free) weekend visit to the women's center at the hospital I
gave birth at to see the lactation consultant- I just had a few questions to
ask about basically etc. She had just finished up with a breastfeeding
class, and said she wished I had gotten there earlier to talk to some of...

weather in NZ by
Vicky Bilaniuk
Hey Amy and the other posters from NZ, I just read that you guys got a
big winter storm! So, I guess it's not raining anymore (that is, if you
are in the affected area)! :-) I hope everyone's OK, though - sounds
like it was a bit nasty what with blowing some roofs off and all.

Baby playtime by
ChitaShines
My baby is 5 mos (3 mos adjusted age). She keeps herself entertained very
well when I put her on the floor with all of her toys. My question is: Is
there such a thing as a baby playing by themself too much? There isn't a
whole lot that we both can do together right now, but that doesn't mean...

DH's parental leave by
Zaz
That's it: quite in advance, because he always feels he "owes" something to
his boss and colleagues, DH has announced to them that he will be taking a
two-months parental leave (January and February 2005). He will also be
taking one week of vacation after I give birth in November. He's filled...

4 month check-up (who's the mom with the 11lb6oz baby from April?) by
Karen
William saw the ped today for his well-baby. My 11lb 22 1/2in newborn is
now 19lb8oz and 27 1/4 inches at exactly 4 months. Didn't do any shots,
as we are doing delayed/selected vax, will likely start with something
at the 6mo visit. Wanted to discuss it with ped, but ds1 age 4 was a
mental case...

Never Using a Bottle, Is it Possible? by
Carol Ann
I read the other day that when your child is able to eat solids, they should
also drink from a cup.
Morgan is going to be ready soon for solids, but has never used a bottle.
Can you go directly to a sippy cup? Is that possible??

Crossed eye by
ChitaShines
One of my baby's eyes tends to cross in towards her nose. It's not
extremely pronounced, but enough for me to be able to tell that it's not
straight. It occurs mainly when she's looking off to the side or looking up
at me. I've read that premies tend to have this problem and that it...

Great Baby Gift Idea by
Suzuki
Hello All,
I know no one has asked, but there is a neat little site I found that
sells "ultrasound art" and I thought that was a pretty neat idea, so i
thought I should share. It's hard to explain what the artist does,
but he includes your ultrasound pictures in a computer collage thing.
I would...

OT - Sale of my home fell through. I'm UPSET. by
Cathy Weeks
Sigh... we're moving to Minnesota, and our house is up for sale. We
got two offers in the first week, and got our asking price.
However, when it came time for the inspection, the inspector said that
the septic field needed to be replaced because it was very wet. Say
what???? We've never had any...

has anyone else experienced *this* pain?... by
Vicky Bilaniuk
The baby is putting odd pressure on my left side. I feel pain when I
try to inhale fully. DH wonders if it's pressure on the diaphragm. I
probably still have an enlarged spleen (long story, but let's just say
that my spleen is not a normal size and hasn't been for at least a few
years, but I've...

Just a little DH rant by
Tori M.
I have been holding off on this one because DH ticked me off yesterday (ok
not hard to do i am 31 weeks pregnant;)) When I was in labor with Bonnie I
kept getting left alone and i did not like it. DH pointed out that it was
never for more then 6 minutes (cig breaks) but I felt abandoned none...

28 week appt and PIH Update by
Leslie
Well, first of all, thanks to everyone for the BP lowering/PIH advice. I am
drinking more water, trying to rest more, and taking more magnesium. I am not
as swollen as I was that one day.
And at my appointment today, I was not spilling protein, and my BP was 128/80.
I still find that high for...

rough night (rant, so ignore if not in the mood) by
Vicky Bilaniuk
OMG this had *better not* continue. Last night was so painful that I
begged for contractions. Everything in my pelvic area (pubic bone
especially) was just horrible and wouldn't stop. I'm assuming that the
baby is lower and is putting more pressure on everything.
My midwife gave me evening...

Question for Ericka, Larry, or anyone else who knows the literature by
Sarah Vaughan
Posted this over at mkb, but no luck so far, so I thought I'd ask here
even though it's not entirely on topic for a pregnancy group:
It seems to be accepted wisdom among breastfeeding advocates that bottle
introduction should be left to 4 - 6 weeks to reduce the risk of 'nipple
confusion', and...
