Fall Clothing by
Suzy Cox
I'm a first time mom and am not sure what clothing to get my toddler
for the fall/winter. Does anyone know of a checklist that I could take
shopping with me or just have any great advice?

Any "Wiggles" experts out there?! :) by
Ms. Fonebone
Hi!
Okay, so my husband & I have been watching the show for the last
couple of months with our toddler son (he LOVES the show) and we like
it too! We saw them in concert in April & they were just terrific.
:)
As there are quite a few repeats on the Disney Channel, there are some
odd questions...

Turbo-charged toddler by
Leigh Menconi
My oldest, now 8, was officially diagnosed with ADHD at age 6 although I
pretty much knew before that. He requires *much* closer supervision than
my other kids because he doesn't think about the consequences of things
before he does them (like swinging a baseball bat without looking around to
see...

kids watching other kids by
Stephanie
At what age would you leave kids alone in the house for a trip to the store?
More to the point, what is the youngest age that this would be conceivable?
Thanks
Stephanie

Earliest Memories Remembered During Adulthood by
Radium
Hi:
I am aware the average age at which long-term retention of memories is
3. What the earliest age known at which a person has had long-term
memories that were retained in adulthood ?
I seem to be able to remember things that happened when I was 2 years
old and slightly earlier. I am now 22...

Need advice on baby gate for extra wide doorway by
Erin Candell
My 13-month old has started crawling and cruising like crazy and the time
has come to baby-proof our living room. However, the doorway that separates
the living room from the kitchen is 71" wide, and I haven't been able to
find a baby gate yet that will fit an opening that large - the largest...

My son has been crawling well since 7 months. He is now 9 months old
and has been pulling himself up on furniture since about 8 mo or maybe
even a bit earlier. He walks along furniture and can stand up for a few
seconds with no support. Is he doing everything early? According to all
my books he...

Newborn twins with colic - please help! by
Elissa
My twin boys were born 9/26 at 33 weeks. They were in the NICU for two and a
half weeks due to feeding difficulties and apnea/bradycarrdia. They're on Good
Start formula, but I did breastfeed for six weeks - it became too difficult
for me to continue. They're growing like weeds and have no...

Teacher drinks fizzy pop in class by

Next year my son will be in Year 5 and his form teacher will again
change.
The new form teacher is ... well, let's not beat about the bush ...
clinically obese. Morbidly so. What's more, from what I've heard from
other parents, she drinks can after can after can of sugary fizzy
drinks all...

Child car seats in Mexico? by

I know a family that is taking a trip to Mexico. Cozumel, I believe.
Is there anyone here that is either from Mexico or has taken a trip there
with a little one? I can't remember how old her little ones are, but I know
they're both fairly young - still in the forward facing/20-40lb car...

Bicycle at what age? by
Jeanne Clelland
What's a good age to get a real bike (with training wheels)? My son is
almost 4, and I'm thinking of getting him a bike for his birthday. My
main concern is that we live on a hill with a fair bit of traffic, so we
don't have a great place for him to practice riding without going
somewhere...

older child and responsibility by

My kids will be little more than a year apart (close to year and
half). When I was growing up I have seen parents treating the older
child as "you are older and you should've known better" when both kids
get into trouble. Also, they give much emphasis on the fact that the
older child is the 'big...

For those of you that use playtex nurser nipples (we are using the

the package says not to. I had already done so, and though they're lighter
in color, they seem fine. I used to put the avent ones in all the...

Question about weight gain by
kylee
I have read that typically a baby will loose weight during the first few
days of life. By the 2nd-3rd week the baby should be back to birth weight,
and gain on an average of 4-7 ounces/week or nearly 2lbs. /month until 3-4
months then this weight gain pattern will slow to 3-5ounces/week.
Is there...

Baby sign language? by

Who's tried it and what do you think of it? Is it something you can learn
to do effectively on your own or do you recommend taking a 'workshop.' (eg:

TIA.
