Home nudity by
Curious2
Hi all I'm looking for comments from all parents.
Recently my wife and I have had many discussions regarding nudity in
our home. We are not nudists. I am very comfortable being nude in the
home when we are going from bath to bedroom and vice versa and often
our bedroom door is open. My wife is...

Heck! He IS reading! by
Chookie
DS is 4y 2mo now. We've known for a long time that he's bright, that he's
good with language, and so on. But it is still a bit confronting to see your
preschooler *reading*, when you know that you and your DH were not doing it at
that age! Not every word he sees, no; but enough for us to know...

OT - Raw Milk Research? Anything trustworthy? by
Cathy Weeks
Hi all,
I've gotten interested in Raw Milk (got to taste some while in
California a year ago, and found it tasted wonderful).
However, the research online seems unreliable.
On one end, you have the anti-raw milk people - Mostly governmental
agencies, and University health departments, etc, that...

toe walking and braces by
S_S
My son is 7 and has always walked on his toes. He had been seen twice
by an orthopedic Dr. and once by a neurologist in the past and they all
said he had OK range of motion and to wait for him to outgrow it. Last
week we had to visit the ortho dr. because he broke his arm and I had
them look at...

Need tips on how to deal with this! by
Beth Kevles
Hi --
Does your DD1 watch much TV? Either at home or at friends'
houses/daycare? If so, you may want to cut off the TV completely. Most
kids can handle the me-me-me culture of TV advertising, but your child
may not be able to.
You should also make it clear that you will NOT escalate. If...

Suggestions for 3rd/4th grade reading level Mystery books? by
I hate spam
Hi All:
My 4.25 yr old DS is reading at about a 3rd/4th grade level, and
I'm looking for suggestions about new books for him.
He LOVES mysteries and fantasy. His favorite books up to
this point have been the Magic Treehouse series, but, quite
honestly, I find the writing to be absolutely...

How do you de-ink a baby? by
Donna Metler
I did a set of handprint stickers so Alli could "sign" letters several
months ago, and DH had the bright idea that I should do new ones since she's
grown so much. Well, I hadn't thought about a 5 month old who puts her hands
everywhere and spends most of her time sucking on her fingers and...

OT (sort of) -- investing for kids by
P. Tierney
For those who are able to put some money away for the
future of their young children, what are the investment choices
that you have either made or recommend?
A grandparent gave our newborn a nest egg, and we're
trying to decide in stocks (market correction coming, I read?),
mutual funds, CDs,...
