Reaching the Heights by
Surber12
In 1981, when Eugene Lang offered every student graduating from high school in his alma-mater, the full payment of college tuition fee, the results were unexpected. The drop out rates of the school dipped with 90% of the sixth graders graduating from high school, and 60% going to college. This...

lap belt question by
MarieD[_2_]
Is it safe for children out of a booster seat to use a lap-belt only? Dh had
to get a new car, and it's a 5-seater but the middle one in the back has
only a lap-belt. I have one child in a booster seat still, but would it be
safe for one of the other two to sit in the lap belt? They're 11 and...

swimsuit ordeal by
MarieD[_2_]
Finding a swimsuit for my 11 and 13 year olds is an ordeal. The children's
sizes are too small, but when I go to the junior sizes, the suits are too
big up top! My girls are tall for their ages, but do other people have this
problem? Why is it hard to find larger sized suits without cups in the...

My 6yr old son is bit overweight by
A Concerned Father
My DS had eating problems during his first two years of life. Basically
he did not want to wean, it was a struggle; he would not eat much during
the daytime then during the night time he wanted to be breastfed. He was
below the weight curve.
My DW was pregnant with our daughter around my DS second...

Fundraising ideas for Boy Scout troop by
Banty
Our Boy Scout Troop has been doing for fundraising:
1. A twice yearly bottle and can drive
2. Taking the bottles and cans from the town dump weekly for the deposits
We also have for some years a section of local highway that the Troop has
'adopted' and the boys clean up twice a year.
I'm...

Cloth diaper question by
xkatx
For those that use cloth or have used cloth...
What is, in your opinion, the best type of material to use for cloth
diapers?
There seems to be so many options, but I'm wondering if there's a great
material that is soft, absorbant and allows air. Also, if possible,
something that is kind of...

Fifth, with respect to the myth's claim, "by 2002 no new childhood vaccines
with Thimerosal were being sold in the U.S.," this is also false because,
among other Thimerosal-containing vaccines that could be given to children
in 2002, the Thimerosal-preserved...

Preschool in a school with uniforms-trying to figure things out. by

I'm really hoping someone has some experience with this. My experience with
private schools is solely limited to Carnegie Mellon, which isn't quite the
same thing.
My DD will be in pre-K at a private school next year. The
website states that uniforms are required K-8, and the pre-
K class page...
