Special needs kids by
[email protected]
Hi,
I was wondering if there are any parents of special needs kids (i.e.
developmentally and/or physically delayed/disabled) out there like
myself. I'd like to discuss some issues that can help us with the
challenges of raising children, like my 7-year old daughter, who can't
crawl, walk, talk or...

Re-inventing the Spoon by
[email protected]
Flowspoon is a great new baby spoon that is closed on one end with a
hole. It sounds strange, but it works like magic! Because the food is
being sucked out, it goes down without a mess, instead of squishing
out of the baby's mouth. I got a free sample from a friend who is
selling them on...

halloween themed pacifiers? by
[email protected]
last year Walmart had halloween themed pacifiers (purple and orange
with ghosts on them).
I cant find them anywhere this year.
They help make a great halloween costume for small kids.
Any ideas where to find these locally?
Thanks

How to discipline a stubborn child by
tamarindm
I have 2 kids, a 4 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. This is how I
discipline them. I explain to my kids why they should have good
behaviour, show them the correct behaviour, use time out, and the
naughty corner. Or simply ignore them when they cry or throw tantrums.
It has worked very well....

JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT
At the circus
I heard that Jennifer Love Hewitt was going to be the guest
ringmaster at the
circus. I hate the circus but I couldn't miss the chance to see
Jennifer in
person. A chance like that only comes around once in a lifetime.

challenging an intelligent child by

My DD is an intelligent kid. She's 4 and she can read/write/do math
quite well. Her social/verbal skills are also good. She'll be entering
kindergarten next year. I looked at the curriculum and it's quite
basic. They teach them sounds of the alphabet, basic math etc. The

talking about the school day by

When I ask my 4yo son what he did in school today, he either shrugs,
says "I don't remember", or tells me what he ate for lunch. I don't
think he is trying to be standoffish. Asking my 2yo (who stays at
home) what he did produces a cheerful "nothing!". I can get some idea
what the older son is...
