Recovering From 1st Before Having 2nd? by
[email protected]
I've always wanted to have my children close together. 2 years max age
gap. DD1 is now 6 months old. I had a difficult pregnancy that had me
in bed for 3 months with marginal placental previa, a Cesarian, and
another non-pregnancy injury that put me off of my feet for a month.
Needless to say, I...

why some babies take longer to come? by
arachne
the midwives at my hospital said something i found interesting the other
day.
they mentioned women need to feel comfortable & safe & to have nested before
they can go into labour which i already knew. but they suggested the reason
why so many babies are born after their due dates in some western...

30 years and 38 weeks by
Joybelle
Well, today is my birthday, and I'm 30! I've also reached the 38 week mark
today. :) I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. I still feel
like I don't have enough time.
My sister, who was due the 11th, is still pregnant after a week and a half
of prodromal labor, poor thing. It's...

We have a name! by

Well, despite knowing the gender since 25 weeks, we have a name for our
little boy in the usual amount of time it's taken to name our other
ones. We drive our relatives nuts!

I really don't understand why Judith's post has caused such a fuss.
She just raised two facts about foreskins that you can't really argue
about.
Uhuh.....but she hasn't raised a single one which
would mandate compulsory mass circumcision of all
newborns.

preparing for post delivery constipation/hemorhoids and stitch discomfort by
oregonchick
I remember how bad I suffered from both of these last pregnancy and for
awhile afterwards. I want to be prepared this time instead of just
suffering. I don't think I had a bm for like 10 days after my daughter was
born. Even with fiber intake, things just weren't moving along like they
should...

births at home vs BC vs hospital on MKP by
Cathy Weeks
I did a google search for the phrase "birth story" and limited it to
Jan 1, 2005 to the present in MKP.
I looked at around 30 stories, and this is the breakdown:
Home: 6
Birth Center: 2
Hospital: 20
Other: 1 (car)

African AIDS hoax? (#11): Baby testicles- and Darrin vs. God by
Todd Gastaldo
AFRICAN AIDS HOAX? (#11): BABY TESTICLES - and DARRIN vs. GOD
For Baby Testicles info, see the very end of this post.
Darrin no doubt sincerely believes that the Jewish God commands infant
circumcision.
Darrin referred to circumcision as,

what your baby needs by

What do you say (stillbirths/miscarriages mentioned) by
[email protected]
This is not a happy story. It's about someone who told me a very
upsetting story, and I'm going to share the details because they
affected how I responded. If you're at all sensitive about still
births, miscarriages, or if you're at 22 weeks or less, think carefully
before you read it. Hearing...

Hi All
If I went past my due date what are some good things that can bring on
labour
I am not due until 18th April but would like to know ideas before then so

Poor baby is really suffering, and so are we! by

Hi everyone, you may remember some of my prior posts regarding an IUGR
threat but the baby was born healthy... mostly.
Hes over 4 months now but I cant even describe how colic he was. He
suffers from really bad gas attacks but lately he seems to be literally
"jumping" out of his own skin while...

Bottles: Glass vs Plastic by
Elana
Hello,
I'm a first time mom-to-be, and I'm not sure which bottles are better,
glass or plastic. Plastic are more convenient, don't break, and come
with features such as "natural shape" or air vents, such as Dr. Brown.
HOWEVER, I found a study that says some chemicals from plastic might
end up in...

I am -not- good about being assertive! by
carlye
I just had my initial OB. I was very anxious for this because, as I
have mentioned in earlier posts, I have only a vague idea about my due
date.
Anyway, the OB got good heart tones on the baby (thank goodness), did
all the bloodwork, pap, etc. She estimated from the size of my uterus
(which she...
