Book list for babies and toddlers by
bk
Here's a list of well respected books that make great read-alouds for
toddlers and younger (yes, it's also unabashed blog promotion, but take
this list to your library, get a few of the books, and see how you like
them.)

One year ago... by
Joybelle
at this time I was admiring my gorgeous baby boy before he headed off to
surgery. Is it possible it was a year ago he entered our arms??? I've felt
quite sentimental today. I can't help but think back to what was happening
whenever I glance at the clock.
My sweet baby quickly entered the world...

tink26
I miscarried a month ago at 6 weeks and I have yet to get a period but
I took a pregnancy test 3 days ago and it was a faint positive. I took
another test today and the positive was much darker this time. Is it
possible that I am pregnant again this soon if I have not had a period
yet (bleed for...

New here, 22 week question by
Susan M
Hi the
I used to belong to this ng and the bf newsgroups years ago when I had my
two children (8 and 6) but that was a while ago!
I am now 22 wks along with #3 and I have a question about movement. I
remember (vaguely) my other two moving quite a bit by now. I don't feel
very much at all...

Hi all
I had my first and second scan last week!!
The first was a routine scan that was booked early cos I have had quite a
few MC's, all was fine.
2 days later I started bleeding heavily and had to have another....again all
was fine.
They can't explain the bleeding but they are going to keep a...

Baby born in midair on London to Boston flight by
Heather
The way I look at it is this women should not be judged so harshly in
previous comments. It's not like she did this on purpose. As I'm sure
she probebly doesn't want to see her child on machines struggling for
it's life. Yes true doctors ADVISE pregnant women not to travel the
last two months. But...

Low Femur Lenght/BPD ratio by
[email protected]
Hi All,
I am 22 weeks pregnant mom. I have done my U/S and as results, I got
everything normal expect that the LF/BPD was juged low (67%). The
average is 71-83 %.
My OB/Gyn asked me to repeat the U/S in 2 weeks.
What does that mean? Is my baby in high risk? Has anyone experienced
that before?
I am...

Almost 40 weeks, can go to 41 by
Pologirl
I'm still pregnant. Imagine that!
Still being seen at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston,
USA, by the high risk (maternal fetal medicine) group. They are very
thorough, and not at all anxiety-prone. I spent hours over the weekend
researching the question of how to distinguish...

So, went this morning for that u/s and the NST at the hospital...
Everything went fine, I guess.
The u/s technician said that baby is just fine, everything looks alright.
She confirmed, once again, it's a girl lol... She then said that baby is

Midwife versus OBGYN by
ChocolateChip_Wookie
Hi All,
One of the defining features I have noticed when watching 'birth'
programs from both here and across the pond is the completely different
aproaches to medical care in pregnancy. Here, almost all children are
delivered exclusively by midwives, so much so that I did not even see a
doctor...

I tried to respond to your post about SPD, but it never showed up.
Very strange....
Anyway, here's what I said (3 times to no avail):
I had severe SPD with my twins pregnancy (no disc issues though). I
recall the pubic pain going away during labor (or maybe it's just that
I had bigger and...
