Recovering From 1st Before Having 2nd? by
[email protected]
I've always wanted to have my children close together. 2 years max age
gap. DD1 is now 6 months old. I had a difficult pregnancy that had me
in bed for 3 months with marginal placental previa, a Cesarian, and
another non-pregnancy injury that put me off of my feet for a month.
Needless to say, I...

bleeding at 25 wks by
V.
Well, I had a bleeding "incident" last night at 25 wks. Bright red
blood, like my period. Called the hospital and they told me to come
in. Hooked up to monitors, and everything looked fine. By then the
bleeding had stopped (none today either). I didn't have a lot of blood
really, just a few...

baby shopping list? by
oregonchick
Is there a list somewhere of essential "starter gear" of what we'll need?
I'm afraid I'm going to go hog-wild shopping. I have been shopping for used
items since I'm finding I can buy nearly new stuff for way way less.
So far I have:
oak crib
changing table
high chair
car seat

KR
I'm not pregnant yet but am hoping to be soon.
I have really gotten into lifting weights and running over teh past 6
months and I don't plan on stopping when I get pregnant. I know there
are some guidelines that I should follow, like maximum heart rate, no
bouncy movements, etc... Can anybody...

Nesting... by
Emily
Today I felt it necessary to clean off the dark dust (from
car exhaust, maybe?) that collects on the rails (painted white)
of our front porch.
Still pg,

pregnant-hyperthyroid-iodine by

I developed hyperthyroidism 2 and a half years ago and had been on PTU
until May of this year with my TSH & free T4 back to normal. I've got
pregnant in late June (now is 8 weeks already). I did blood test on
July 21 and got: TSH=0.02, free T4=20.2. My thyroid doctor said I
don't have to take PTU...

correcting a 9-month old - help! by
[email protected]
Hi guys,
Our 9 month boy's temper seems to be getting out of hand. At first he
used to just scream if he didn't get something he wanted, now he
screams and if you're carrying him he scratches/pinches/slaps you with
both hands. He does the same thing even when he's not "angry",
sometimes he just...

telling a friend who's infertile by
Anonymama
I have a friend who's been struggling with infertility for about seven
years -- she's had one child in that time, but she'd liked to've had a
dozen. I see her once or twice a week when our kids (roughly the same
age) play together. What's the best way to tell her that I'm pregnant?

listeria questions by
Anonymama
I adore bleu (or blue) cheese. Not eating it is one of the most
difficult parts of pregnancy. Now, I'm wondering... what if I cooked the
cheese? For example, a pizza topped with gorgonzola? Wouldn't that kill
the bacteria? Or putting crumbled gorgonzola in noodles, which is hot
enough to melt it......

Puckered belly? by
KR
Will this ever go away?
My girly is almost 2, I have lost a lot of weight but it seems to get
more noticable the more weight I lose. It's like a flap of skin that
puckers in to my belly button. I think it's disgusting, DH assures me
it isn't THAT bad... *sigh* I guess I'll have to try for #2...
