quasi-dropping at 29 weeks LMP? by
Dagny
Is it possible for the baby to drop at 28-29 weeks LMP? I had an internal
exam one week ago (I was worried about the frequency of Braxton Hicks) and
the baby was head down, cervix hard and closed, presenting part (head)
"bounced away" when pushed from vagina (Dr. said that meant not...

constipation? by

Is there anything else i can do short of taking him to the doc?
If it is really hurting him, I'd take him to the doc. Else you can
try raisins, prunes, drinking lots of water and a high-fiber diet
(oatmeal, whole-wheat bread, etc). A tummy massage (clockwise) can
also trigger...

Pregnant (Legally Blonde) White House staffers... by

No/Irregular Period, but Negative Pregnancy Test by
The following is posted at the request of my wife:
My husband & I have been trying to get pregnant
for the last 6 months. I got off the birth control
pill in Jan'03 and we started trying since then. Since then,
my periods have been quite regular with either a 27 or 28 day
cycle, the 28 day one...

Help for hemorrhoids? by
Chotii
Oh dearie me, do I have 'em. I'm using a 1% cortisone foam they gave me
when I was in the hospital, plus Gold Bond cream or powder, depending, and
things seem to be getting worse, not better. I've resorted to witch hazel
pads, but I don't think they're helping either.
Suggestions, anyone? The...

Childcare options from 6 months by
Mom2B
I will need to return to work when my baby is about 6 months old. I'm not
sure what childcare options are "best" for my baby at that age. I might be
able to get away with working about 3-4 days a week (depending on what we
feel we can afford at the time).
I don't think we can afford a nanny but...

CTTS-mentorship in the womb by
Sumita
I've been lurking here that last few months (and read here
8 years ago when I had baby 1).
Today my DH was poking my belly trying to get the baby to
move around when DD(7) came over and said to the belly,
"Now baby, whenever Dad bugs you, you say 'Daaayahd' and
roll your eyes".
It's kind of...

Ultrasound -28 weeks & update by
Elly
I had the ultrasound today - I had one two weeks ago but the ob/gyn said she
wanted to do another one because the baby was moving so much and she had a
lot of patients that day and so couldn't spend her usual 20 minutes at it.
Well, everything is fine :-)
Of course, the baby moved during the scan,...

Newbie here :-) by
Miss Nicole
Well, after looking through the messages I thought I'd post and say hello
(waves) I'm due August 23rd with #2 (DD is 3) and I'm wondering 2 things...
is it normal for child #1 to become completely unmanageable around this
time? Or is it just the "terrible 3's" (which I've always heard as...

Did you have any indication that labour was iminent? by
Alicia Elliott
I have been very curious about this since my spotting a few days ago. I
know that I may yet go until my due date, but everyone (including my
midwife) thinks I will go into labour early. Since there is no way of
knowing, I just thought I'd poll to see what different people's experiences
were with...

Newbie dad to be by
Jeridiah
Hello all,
Been lurking since finding out my wife is pregnant with our first.
EDD is 3-14(pi day). So far this has been an informative and
interesting group(aside from the inordinate amount of trolls on this
group).
My wife seems to prefer the iVillage group, of which I am sure there
is some...
