Are my expectations unreasonable? by
Matthew Beasley
Hi everyone,
I just got back from my 30 week appointment/GD check and am disappointed
in two things. While she gave me another week to get my numbers under
control to avoid meds/insulin, she was rather adamant that she feels I
will end up needing something. We also went over my birth plan and...

Fundal height measurement question by
Jill
This may be a silly question but I have been wondering. I have never
understood why they measure fundal height, with a measuring tape.....
Wouldn't it make a big difference, if you are tall and long waisted, or
short/short waisted? Or am I missing something.
Also I don't see how it can be...

Announcing... by
cara
As one of the late march EDDs, I wanted to announce the arrival of Mia
Caroline, born 3 days early on March 21, weighing 6lb 12oz. The labor
and delivery and subsequent recovery has been amazingly easy (so much
better than the first) and we are having a great time adjusting to our
new family...

Help, i am running out of pants that fit me and I am having trouble
finding tall maternity pants. The Gap is out of stock, and that's where
I got the 2 pairs of pants i can wear! I love my growing belly, but i

Interesting visit. by
Shena Delian O'Brien
I pre-registered at the maternity center today where I'm planning on
having the baby. I had an interesting time signing a couple of forms on
the baby's behalf. One consented to medical treatment and the presence
of a nurse-in-training, another one acknowledged the receipt of the
HIPAA paperwork....

Yoga ball-birthing ball--what can I do with it now? by
Elitsirk
About a year ago, I bought a "yoga ball" to use for situps, etc. I
was taking an aerobics class at the time where we used them for toning
every week. I had bought a workout video that had a section on using
the toning ball, and was doing it maybe 1 a week until around the time
I got pg...

This week has been ok. Not so much nausea this week, I still have a low
appetite but I think I have been eating a lot more calories etc. I'm up like
2 pounds (still below my pre-preg weight)....I'm still wondering if I am
suddenly (in the last 8 weeks) going to shoot up in weight or will stay...

No prenatal care? by
ClevelandENLOE
I have a situation where I need to find a friend a doctor. They are 36
weeks and have not had a great deal of prenatal care. Will a doctor take them
on at this late stage? Should she see a high risk doctor? Any advice would be
deeply appreciated.
