breastfeeding rates by
Clare L
Can anyone point me to data on breastfeeding rates in the US - I've got data
for the UK and wanted to see how the countries compare. I figure people here
might already have found them and I'm feeling lazy.
Love
Clare, where DS is starting to cruise and DD is mastering the potty....

Peanut butter by
Clare L
For a child who has already dealt with one allergy (milk) and grown out of
it, how old should I wait for him to be before dishing up the peanut butter?
I think he may have had some exposure to peanuts via my milk already - I
have a recollections of dipping into some bowls of nuts on more than...

Going to use my BF experiance to help others by
Clare L
There was an advert in the local paper the other week to become a
"Breastfeeding Peer Supporter Volunteer" It's a scheme that the local HV's
are setting up for mums-to-be and new mums so they can speak to some one who
had been there, seen that etc.
I just filled in my application form!

Happy! by
Clare L
DS is officially over his milk allergy and is now 50th for weight and 75th
for height (tho given what ol' hollow legs eats I'm not surprised) - 2
months ago he was on 25th for weight!
And today we got him his first pair of shoes - I believe nothing but socks
or sunlight on children's feet until...

why sore now? by
Clare L
What am I doing after 13 months of BF having sore breasts?
In the early hours of Thursday morning I went to hospital with my dodgy
lungs (well couldn't really leave them at home!) and so wasn't there for DS
early morning feed. Instead he had a small feed when DH brought him in
mid-morning. They...

Allergy Update by
Clare L
DS appears to be over his milk allergy - fingers crossed! We have gradually
over the last months introduced it into his diet and no rashes - hurrah! I'm
going to get him weighed on Monday as a) it's his birthday and I so want to
see how much he has grown in the last year (well who wouldn't) and b)...

What happened to your breast's once you had stop by
Clare L
Ds has self weaned at 16 mths - tho a week after his "final" feed, we found
that the only that soothed him during the night when his chicken pox was
trully tormenting him was a breastfeed - hurrah they still produced.
Anyway, what can I expect of my breast sizewise. They went from 40DD to 36J
and...

Thinking of stopping by
Clare L
( I posted this a few days ago but it's not showing - guess it got lost
somewhere!)
Anyway....
I'm thinking about stopping BF DS when he gets to one year (a month and a
half away) for one reason and one reason only.
DS is allergic to milk to an extent that I can't consume anything with milk
in...

Those babies that go to daycare while fully on breastmilk.. I

Help with sucking. by

Alena can latch just fine. I've had her do it a number of times.
However, when she's on the breast, she won't suck. We know she can suck

They want to take out her NG tube, and the only way they'll do that is...
