This is really not fair! by
laurie
Christopher still wakes up at night, a few times in fact, and I end up sleeping
with him half the night. He loves it, I like to snuggle, no big deal. Though I
certainly would love it if he slept through. I know he's waking out of habit,
but I just don't have the energy to fix it right now.
So, I...

Fenugreek dosage? by
PandA Aerospace
Hi all
Have been googling, but can't find a definitive answer, so decided to
consult the oracle (aka misc.kids.breastfeeding!).
I have fenugreek capsules at 610mg and alfalfa tablets at 500mg. Is it best
to start with one and see how that goes, or do they complement each others'
action? How...

x-posted: Meg's 8 week weight by
Dagny
Hey all, a midwife friend brought her scale over and Meg is 13 pounds, 12
ounces in street clothes today, at eight weeks exactly! She's sticking on
that 95% line on the growth chart. It was nice because I won't go for
another WBV for another month, and even then am considering skipping it so
we...

What's your opinion of Weissbluth? by
Melissa
I've been reading it (DD is still having sleeping problems) and he seems to
make sense, but many of you have read more and have more experience than I
do. What I've liked about him so far is that he offers multiple solutions
based on one's ability/desire to let the child cry. He also doesn't...

OT - For Dawn by

I did tell myself not to respond to you anymore as you told me to FO.
However when I told my (more charitable) bloke about it all he
suggested that you might be suffering from a bit of post natal
depression. I was upset by your reply to my post becuase here I am
trying to do my best and you made...

The most wonderful Christmas present by
A&G&K
X-posted to mkp and mkb
I wrote a couple of weeks ago to say that my body was out of whack post D&C
as "AF" was only a tiny little bit of brown spotting ... well it turned out
to be implantation spotting.
I got a +ve hpt last Thursday (5.5 weeks after a D&C at 9w1d), but wasn't
sure if I could...

what is he doing? by
teapot
The Moo boy lies on his back and grabs a toy, he then balances the toy
on his face, puts his arms out to the sides and squeals in delight.
He's been doing it for a couple of weeks now, and personally I'd
rather he didn't suffocate himself but he is very supervised!
Do you think he's playing...

All the moms with solids-eating, immobile babies by
Phoebe & Allyson
Please send them to our house, so they can convince
Caterpillar of the wisdom of eating real food (as opposed to
paper and packing peanuts), and the folly of perpetual
motion. If any of you would like your babies convinced that
they don't need to eat quite so much and might like to move
a bit...

My turn ... 4 month old stopped sleeping by
[email protected]
I know this has been discussed on here a few times, but it's my turn to
whine now. :( DS's nighttime sleeping habits have regressed to about where
he was at 5 weeks - maybe even worse than that. He had been sleeping
through the night, every night. He's 4 1/2 months right now. Around the 4
month...

Giving baby a bottle by
asl
Hi, I've been reading this group for a while, and I have a question
I'm sure someone out there can answer. DS will be 5 months old on the
1st of January. I stay-at-home and don't have much reason (so far) to
give a bottle. At some point I would like to go to the movies, shop,
etc without DS...

all clear by
Anne Rogers
I went to a check at the breast clinic today, there is some damaged tissue
in my right breast, but nothing else to worry about, hopefully as the
tissue heals the recurrent plugged ducts will go away too.

Foul-smelling poop by
Irrational Number
I don't think I bargained for this disgusting
poop when I started Pillbug on solids, did I???
Who'da thunk a teeny bit of banana and pear here
and there would have such an effect?
Beginning weeks, I thought his poop smelled
like buttermilk. Then, they started smelling
like dried breastmilk, but...

OT - baby whisperer rant by

We spent Xmas at my folks who have cable so I got to watch the Baby
Whisperer. The first program was about a toddler who wanted to BF
all teh time and hated shopping. The Baby Whisperer got the baby
weaned off completely in one night - the mum was in pain and she
recommended dairy as a...

A disheartening experience by
laurie
I was at work the other night (I work at a hospital), and had been told that
there were two LC's on staff in the OB department, one on days and one on
nights. I had met the day nurse/LC last week. Because the hospital is so small,
there are often no OB patients and the OB nurses have to float to...

ot- baby acne vs. contact dermatitis? by
Zucca4
Our little mush has spots all over his face which the doctor says is baby acne.
We've been encouraged to let it run its course and simply wash with warm water
a few times daily- no soaps, creams, etc... However I have been noticing that
the condition is red and exacerbated when our baby is laying...
