someone gave my 9 month old some peanut butter fudge
Yikes! I wouldn't want random people feeding my baby even
non-allergenic stuff.
do I go ahead and give her more while I'm
with her to see if she has a reaction

I need your opinions by
Michelle Podnar
Over the last few days, when DD attempts to nurse on my left side, it is
very painful. Keep in mind that she is almost 17 months so she know how to
do this, and the right side is fine. I keep unlatching and relatching, but
we are getting to the point where the feeding have been cut back (on...

Weaning from the glider? by
Irene
I don't think I've seen this addressed before, so here goes:
DS, who seems to be mostly weaned (tho he did nurse a few minutes
yesterday morning at about 5:30 am, which is the longest he has in
weeks) has been going through lots of changes lately. He got his big
boy bed a few months ago, is...

Funny baby proofing item by
AlenasMom
It said to make sure the baby's nursing implements wouldn't break and that
the nipple was firmly attached before feeding... Aparently I turned pale.
DH read it, looked at me and told me I'd better hope not.
Later on they refered to glass nursing implements, and I couldn't stop
laughing thinking...

Isn't this just WRONG! by
Irish Marie
https://www.handybaby.com/index.php?content=gallery.php
I saw an article on this 'great' new product in the Irish Independent
Mothers and Babies Supplement today, and all I can say is that I am shocked!
There is bf, ff and then this which is the most uncaring, bad parenting tool
in the world...

supply issues at 12 months by
Heather
DS is almost 12 months old. He has never taken a bottle well at
daycare and nurses a lot at night (we co-sleep) I used to have an over
supply problem but now I notice that I'm "full" less and less. At
night, DS will switch sides rapidly. I'm told this is an indication
that he can't get enough...

Moo's poo's and solids by
teapot
Well its day 4 of solids. Or more truthfully, it's day 4 of meticulous
preparation of extremely nice vegatables and the splattering of every
surface with the same. Moo got about 1/4 of a teaspoon of potato in
today without spitting it out. He's not overly impressed and I get
the feeling that he...

Concerned about breastfeeding by
T
My son is 4 weeks old and I am breastfeeding. So far so good, but I think I
am ovulating. I usually know when I do and it seems that I may be getting
my period soon. Last time I did not get my period for 3 months. Does this
mean my milk supply will decrease?

starting solids and feeding self by
Katie
Hi,
I started giving my 7 1/2 month old baby some solids at about 6 months of
age (cereal, jarred baby food). She hasn't been too excited about that, and
just ramped up the breastfeeding (we are back to every 2 hours at night,
sigh). Anyway, last week I gave her an arrowroot baby cookie to play...

Erm how did this happen by
Clare L
15 months on and here we still are.
Just once a day now - first thing in the morning and there was me thinking
the one before bed would be the last one to go.
I'm sure other children sense the milk in me - had one little chap resting
his head on my knees this morning as I was talking to him mum at...

Depressed :( by
Zucca4
This past weekend I began running a temp which averaged about 102.7 and hit as
high as 103.8 a few times. I had terrible, violent shakes and chills. Called
my OB as I suspected my tear might be infected. Knew it wasn't mastitis as my
breasts were not painful.
Doctor and I went through all the...

OT cradle cap by
Dagny
Your input is appreciated -- Meg has cradle cap. It started about two weeks
ago on her eyebrows and is now quite prevalent on her head --
I have read both that no treatment is necessary, and read that it is worth a
trip to the doctor (the Mayo Clinic book from State Farm). I have tried
soaking...

3 month growth spurt by
Bach
If this is a growth spurt, I will be relieved. My DS has been eating
approximately every 45 minutes (during the day) for the last 2 days.
I'm becoming exhausted, and nothing soothes him like nursing. Part of
me is a bit concerned that he's overeating. He is already almost 18
pounds at 3 months,...

These robbers are dangerous, they steal breasts lightning-fast !
So better wear steel or titanium bras or full body armor to protect yourself.

Formula at night by

I really hate to even ask this question, but to be fair, I feel I need to.
Much to my dismay, I'm starting the night shift on Friday. I'll be working 7 pm
to 7 am 2 nights a week. Christopher still eats a couple of times during the
night, likely more out of habit and cosleeping than out of...

much when I pump..
Right now, my daughter is only getting some milk, not enough so I
supplement. I was 2 weeks early delivering her and it seems the milk never
came in. I try and pump when I can. She is low birth weight...
