Breastfeeding for preemie by
Dani
Hello everyone.
We just had a lovely little boy on January 7th. He was 29 weeks and is
currently residing at the NICU at our hospital. He's doing very well so
far and I am trying my best to give him as much breast milk as
possible. He is currently getting food through a tube and I am...

Clicking by
Poppy
Hello again
Glad to be back here with baby #2 (well I didn't really leave but pg got
complicated). He's now 6 weeks old and has been doing fine putting on an
average of 10oz a week for his first 4 weeks!!! Haven't had him weighed
since so I don't know if this 'clicking' is affecting weight gain...

10 months, can you believe it? by
[email protected]
Shiny is 10 months tomorrow. My newsserver tanked and my life got
outrageously busy, so I'm only here on Google occasionally anymore.
Let's see:
Good news: She's up to 16 pounds, is sitting up well and starting to
support her weight on her legs, and she's the darlingest sweetest,
easiest baby I've...

Failure to thrive? Please help...v.long by
[email protected]
Hello all,
I am an Indian mom to 2 little girls (2.5yrs and 11 months). We
recently came to U.K. and we will be here for a year or so. We got
enrolled into NHS and today I had a health visitor come over. My DD2 at
11 months weighs a shocking 6.4Kg. Her HC was 43. I can't seem to
recall her length....

New to newsgroup and motherhood by
Marce
Hello, I am a new mother of a 4 week old. I have been exclusively pumping
since she was 1 week. Currently, I am pumping approximately 3.5 ounces a
session. I am taking Blessed Thistle to try and raise this amount. I have
a Medela Pump in Style and pump for 15-25 minutes. I would like to try...

Fibrous breast lump in 36th week by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
I've just had an ultrasound to check on a 3.5 inch wide oval lump that
I discovered only four days ago, and the result is that I'm due for a
biopsy in two weeks' time.
I'm 36 weeks pregnant, and 35 years old, and from what I understand
this is likely to be a benign mass of tissue called a...

pumping issues by
PK
Any help with the following issue would be much appreciated:
I have a 6 week old daughter. She nurses about 10 times (roughly every
3 to 4 hours) during the day with 6 - 8 wet / dirty disposable diapers
a day. I'm going to have to leave her home twice within the next week
(non-reschedulable...

Friend still breastfeeding older child?? by
John
I have a friend that still breastfeeds her 4 year old son...This seems
odd to me, what do you all think? I try to stay out of their business,
but I just wonder if there are any laws broken or something.

will eliminating night pumping ruin my supply? by
oregonchick
Many of you already know that I exclusively pump and bottle feed. And many
of you know that my supply has been bountiful, to say the least. With over
9 gallons in the freezer, I feel that there is no reason to continue to
maximize how much I am pumping. What I'd really like to do is eliminate...

Supplementing with formula: what are legitimate reasons for it? by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
A friend of mine has a two-month old son who is really quite skinny and
little, and she has been advised by her pediatrician to supplement her
breastfeeding with formula. She plans to put him in daycare pretty
soon when she goes back to work full time, and was concerned that if he
has no deposits...

Reglan is the best!! by
Purple Gal
I am happy to report that the Reglan I've been on for a week now, Blessed
Thistle and Fenugreek seem to be finally working. A week ago, I could only
pump 2-4 oz at a time. I am now up to 5-6 oz in a 20 minute pumping
session! I have also been BF more often then just feeding EBM. I go back
to...

It's over by
Mum of Two
My partner admitted last night that our relationship of 6 1/2 years is over.
I'll have to try and change my work days so that he can have Ana on his days
off. I'll still have her nights but I guess she'll cut out her lunch time
feed on the days he has her. Not that that really seems important right...

another Baby poo question by
Jo
Will has sucked on a piece of orange before with no ill effects. The
only thing I can think of to cause these frequent poos (aside from a
tummy bug or teething) is the litre of orange juice I drank on Thursday
night - all in one go. The poos have been happening since friday
morning. Could this...
