how much bigger can they get???? by
oregonchick
I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have gone from a 34B to a 40DD... I'm getting a
little frantic! It's getting more difficult to find bras. My milk hasn't
even come in yet! Seriously, can I expect them to get even bigger after
baby is born? With my first child, I didn't get anywhere near this big.
I'm...

Why doesn't DD sleep? :) by
Legbuh
DD is about 6.5 weeks old. She's never really slept much during the
day. She seems to take 1 or 2 30 minute naps, but other times when you
can tell she's tired she won't fall asleep and likes to just cry.
Moving her around, changing posistions, etc helps a little, but once
shes settled she cries...

Toddler comments by

Today in Kindermusik, 18 month old Nathan patted mommy on the breast and
said "Mama Yummy"-definitely a benefit on still nursing a verbal child. Alli
now asks for "mama milk" when offered something else in a cup
(unfortunately, I'm only getting about 16-20 oz a day now, mostly because
I'm only...

do i take the pump? by
A&G&K&H
DH and I will spend 36 hours away from the kids next week.
DS (15 months) feeds 3-4 times a day and I've expressed enough for him for
the duration, but I'm wondering if I should take my Avent Isis with me on
our 1 night holiday (DH's work's supplier has paid for us to fly down to
Sydney for their...

Update: Breastfeeding related signage in restrooms by
Mum of Two
Some time back I posted about being treated extremely rudely in a
council-owned women's rest room here while breastfeeding DD - on two
occasions by the same attendant. The restrooms have three main rooms - one
is a sunny lounge area, the other has nappy changing facilities, and the
third is women's...

Breastfeeding lowers risk of mother developing diabetes by
V.
Here's an msnbc article about a JAMA article stating that women who
breastfeed for a year have a 15% lower risk of developing type II diabetes
later. Each additional year of breastfeeding lowers the risk by 15%.
Interesting!

swollen nipple by
Anne Rogers
I haven't a clue what is going on, but one nipple is swollen about double
the usual size, it's literally only the top 1cm or so, meaning that latching
is slightly painful first suck, but once she is on properly she's gripping
round the unswollen areola. It also looks slightly red. To the touch it...

Poop question by
Miha
Baby poops a lot, which I like. It's yellow but recently he started
getting one or two half-inch green "strings" in the poop... can't even
pick them up as they curl up as soon as you touch them and they look
like a thin something rolled up.
Any pointers?
