Bereavement by
Patrick Mullin
Does anyone in the group have any pointers to other newsgroups that deal
with single parents who are widowers with young children?
Thanks,
Patrick

Daughters!!! by
Joelle
So it's her 14th birthday and she usually has a bunch of friends overnight.
This time, I just had a feeling something was up. Couldn't put my finger on
it. They usually sleep in the attic and she wanted to sleep in the basement,
where it's damp and musty. But it's pretty far from my upstairs...

I need a little advice regarding child support by
slykitten
hi,
I need a little advice on how to proceed.....
October 7th of this year there was a hearing regarding child support. my ex
owes it in a big way! The hearing was a "motion to show cause and
intervene." I appeared by phone because the hearing was held in my home
state and I moved to a different...

Hi Everyone by
SingleDad1982
Hello Everyone
I'm a single Dad with both my kids living with me full time. I guess
that would make me a good fit for this group. Seems like a pretty
civil group. Maybe I can pick up a few tips from all of you along the
way.

Any lawyers want to sue to make child support unconstitutional? by
Ray Gordon
I'd be willing to be the Plaintiff. If you're not a lawyer, and want to pay
for one for me, I'd do it too.
I have no children, primarily because if I did, I'd lose my constitutional
rights and could wind up in prison for failure to pay child support, which
effectively makes it a debtor's...

Long time, no post... by
Alex
Hello all,
First of all I'd like to preface this by saying it's been a long time--three
years I think--since I've posted to this NG. I've skimmed over the last
200-300 messages and I do recognize some names such as Joelle, CME, Karen,
and Kate. (I think Kate lives in Houston if my memory serves...

Only STUPID men make posts like this... by
Ray Gordon
Here's a line to explain to them why you don't want them:
If you don't want them, then why are you wasting your time
even talking to them in the first place?
This is how I blow these desperate creatures off when they approach me.

Is it just me...? by
[email protected]
has anyone notice the serious lack of support for SINGLE FATHERS in the real
world? Maybe I just have overlooked it. Everything having to do with single
parents just seems to always be geared to SINGLE MOTHERS.
Just an observation. If I'm wrong...I'm sorry!

Circle in a Square Peg by
Kristi Carney
I am unsubscribing from this newsgroup because it's not given me the support
I was seeking or hoping to find. I'm sorry if it appears that I've been
whining or wallowing in my own pain, sorrow, grief, and anger. Guess what?
Just because some of you have been single parents longer than me......

Easter Eurodisney (or Butlins) by
Andrew
Hi guys,
Just an idea and nowt may come of it but any single parents up for doing
Eurodisney or some other kid friendly holiday place over Easter or a long
weekend? The advantage is we could split costs and time, any adult that
wanted to wander off when it was not their shift could happily do...

"Every Wednesday evening and every other weekend"
Is this typical for non custodials? If I had to see my child on those terms
I think I'd end up in a mental hospital.
I really feel for Fathers (lets face it the majority of non custodials) who
WANT their kids, but faced with a dicriminatory system...

I've been dating a wonderful woman (we'll call her Rudy) for just over
2 years. She has 2 boys, 10 and 12 years old, that live with their
father and his new wife the majority of the time. Rudy gets the boys
every Wednesday evening and every other weekend. I am very involved

curved spine? by

I just got word my third grader is developing a slight curve in his
spine. They're telling me it's quite common at this age, more so with
girls than with boys, and that they'll probably just monitor it.
Anyone have any experience with this? This kid's got better posture
than any of us, and he had a...

Child tax credit by
Tamara
Hello
I'm confused about how the child tax credit will work on the 2003
tax forms. I received a prefund. Will I still be eligible for the
$600-per-child credit or is it subtracted from that? Anyone know?
Thanks for any info
