Gassy baby by
Jen

fussy in the evening recently. DH & I suspect DD might suffer from gas by
the end of the day. I have talked with the community nurse, and she
suggested us to use gas relieve drop, but still it has not improved. And

Jen
Hi all
DS is 5 days off 6 months. As he seemed interested in everything we ate,
is learning to sit up well and is a big boy we thought we'd offer him a
bit of parsnip and bm puree on Christmas day. His face was a pictu). It
was as if we had offered him a plate of soured lemons!. Anyway, since...

Pumped milk with mastitis and antibiotics by
Jen
I have just been prescribed antibiotics to clear up mastitis :(. The GP I
saw advised me not to feed on that side for while but pump. Can I keep the
pumped milk for later use? He said it's no problem bf'ing with the
antibiotics so I can't see a problem but thought I'd check.
Thankfully I caught...

Sleeping through by
Jen
I was wondering at what age your baby slept through the night without a
feed. DS will be 5 months in a week and currently he feeds at 6pm,
10.30pm, 3-4am and then 7am through the night, The advice seems to be that
if he doesn't sleep through by 6 months (say for 6 hours 11-5am or better)
then I...

rooting=hungry? by
Jen
Hello everybody!
I am at my wits end once again. The past two nights I slept only about
1.5 hours.....
My son (20 days) has become a nightowl. He used to be real good. I
swaddled him, he'd wake up around 2.30 or 3.00 a.m., after having had
his last feeding between 11.00 p.m. and 0.30 a.m. (I nurse...

Which foods can cause diaper rash? by
Jen
Hello everybody!
I have been researching diaper rash on misc.kids.breastfeeding and on
other places on the net. I am a bit confused which foods should be
avoided. To start from the beginning: My little one is breastfed and
he has a constant diaper rash. We use both disposables and cloth and
there...

Jen
Hello everybody!
Here's Jen, delurking once more to ask the people in

My boy (7 weeks) pretty much has had a diaper rash from day one. I
tried everything, including fungal cream. Sometimes it went away, but
it always came back with a vengeance. Since a few days I...

Medela SNS questions by
Jen in South Florida
Has anyone ever used the Medela SNS to feed two babies
simulatiously? I've tried to use it twice now, with the largest
tubes attached, but it seems like nothing flows out of it.
Does this mean the babies just aren't sucking hard enough, or is
there some adjustment that I'm missing. I thought...

Couple of questions by
Jeni Steers
Hi All
Well, I plan to bf #2 but I've got a few questions that someone might be
able to help me with.
With ds I bf'd till he was 15 months, but the early days were hell and I was
an inch away from giving up. The main issue was sore, cracked and split
nipples. I got through it with the help of...

Finally, the question by
[email protected]
On the phone to my dad last night talking about egg passing through bm
(ds has an egg allergy). He says:
So, when you are you going to stop breastfeeding? The tone of his
question was not a positive enquiry. This surprised me as he has shown
no interest whatsoever in William's feeding. Quick as a...

I tried to post this last night, so apologies if it appears again.
I never thought I'd be saying this but William and I have reached 1
year of bf'ing, albeit mixed feeding. He has gone down to 2 bf's a day,
one brief one before bed and a longer one in the morning and has 2
bottles of formula at...
