hpt questions by
naysando
hi everyone!
well I think I finally got a positive, but I am not sure.
I used the Walgreen's brand tests (didn't like the name brand ones before)
and it says to read results at 3 minutes..well it's a faint line (did it 2
days in a row in the morning) and then at about 5 minutes the line...

Fathers & toilet/changing facilities by
Amy
DH came up with a really good question the other day. As someone who will no
doubt be a hands-on Dad, what is he supposed to do if he is in a public
place by himself and our daughter needs to go to the toilet? Entrust her to
some strange woman? Take her into a grotty mens' loo?
Changing is an issue...

what does "hospital policy" really mean? by
P Harris
I am afraid I am not a
going-along-with-things-just-because-I'm-told-to kind of person (this
is one side effect of being trained as a scientist - you get in the
habit of drawing independant conclusions about things :-P), and this
may be a potential problem when it comes time to give birth. So,...

Question about stitches by
Jill
I have quite a few stitches (vaginally), they are the kind that dissolve...I
have never had this kind before. It's been 3 weeks and they are still there
(of course)....I am just wondering, how long do they remain before they do
dissolve? I am so afraid they are going to itch as it heals more. As it...

December due dates by
Mary S.
How are you feeling this month, three-monthers? You're almost out of
the first trimester
(depending on how you count) -- still feeling sick and tired, or are you
starting to pick up? Do you look pregnant? Heard the heartbeat yet, or
still searching for a care provider who fits your needs? Is it...

October due dates by
Mary S.
Halfway there! How's everyone doing? Making the switch into "wow, I
really look pregnant now" or have you been there for a while? Kicks and
tumbles? Dealing with the glucose test, a possible amnio, results from
the triple screen, ultrasounds? Happy with your birth plans, your care
providers,...

last update for a while by
Mary S.
Hi, all --
I just can't keep up. Life is so busy -- DH was just out of town for
six weeks, and we've got some vacations coming up this summer, and I've
been deleting everything unread for the last few months, so I'm going to
admit defeat! If anyone else would like to take over the...

Quick Re-Intro! by
[email protected]
Hi Everyone,
I ran into Sophie on alt.fashion, and thought I'd poke my head in here
again. Not sure if anyone remembers me, but it sure feels like a sort
of homecoming. It's nice to see many of the old familiar names.
I was here a couple of years back when I had my son, and now I'm 4
weeks away...

humour - names by
A&G&K
In my search for the *right* name, I found this page :
http://www.getodd.com/stuf/babyname.html
Maybe I'm in a strange mood (just eaten 4 marshmallows - sugar rush) but the
oddball name suggestions cracked me up.

Pool water temp. by
ChitaShines
Well, I found a cute bathing suit and a waterproof diaper to bring the baby
into the pool with. My question is: Do you all think the water will be too
cold for her? Do any of you bring your babies into somewhat cold pool
water? Are they fine with it?

Infant swimwear by
ChitaShines
We have a 2 month old that we'd like to take into the pool (just to slowly
get her used to water). I went to Target today to get her those Swimmers
diapers and they don't make them for infants as small as her. I also looked
all around in the baby section and couldn't find a bathing suit...

Looking for a kid-safe vehicle- recs? by

My husband and I are looking to trade his truck in for a vehicle better
suited for me to drive Rachel and future kids around in. He has a Ford F150
extended cab, and I have an old (c. 1990) Honda Accord. He is driving my car
for his commute to work, because with everyone else seemingly on the...

"Extreme" attachment? (kind of long) by
wizardcat
DD has been around her dad, her brother, friends, and relatives since
the day she was born. I've held her no more or less than I did her
2-year-old brother (although I am breastfeeding her and he was bottle
fed). However, at 3 months, she still rarely allows anyone else to
hold her and she...

HPT Question by
TChameleon
Is it possible to be 3 months pregnant and have a HPT come back as a negative?
If you test 3 months after your last encounter and it comes back negative would
that be 100% accurate?
Basically I'm asking at what point would an HPT be 100% accurate?
Thanks for any help on this.

Does it hit only once or can it come and go?
I got a bunch done this past weekend and am hitting a low. I am hoping for
another "nesting whammy" to hit so I can use that energy to finish up...not
that it will ever really be done.
I really never thought it would happen to me...get hit by the...
