Yet another feeding question by
Marie
OK-- so after being *thoroughly* confused by the feeding advice I was
getting, I went ahead anyway :-)
The kidlets have been introduced to a new pureed food about every week: I
alternate between introducing a fruit and a vegetable and so far they seem
to like everything. They are also beginning...

Need advice on baby gate for extra wide doorway by
Erin Candell
My 13-month old has started crawling and cruising like crazy and the time
has come to baby-proof our living room. However, the doorway that separates
the living room from the kitchen is 71" wide, and I haven't been able to
find a baby gate yet that will fit an opening that large - the largest...

Child car seats in Mexico? by
Kat
I know a family that is taking a trip to Mexico. Cozumel, I believe.
Is there anyone here that is either from Mexico or has taken a trip there
with a little one? I can't remember how old her little ones are, but I know
they're both fairly young - still in the forward facing/20-40lb car...

When Older Children Wear Diapers by

Hi, I'm 24 years old and currently live in New York. I've recently read someones post about some guy thinking about putting his kid in diapers even though his kid was kindergartener age. I didn't respond to it, well b/c I thought the post was kind of weird, but I was tempted to b/c of an...

ADHD Therapy - no drugs/Experience anyone? by
Mary E. Hill
My son was diagnosed with ADHD a couple of days ago. The psychologist said,
"There is no doubt in my mind."
He is only 4, so the psych did not recommend drugs yet. He said at age 5, we
should consider it, if needed.
I absolutely agree and would rather quit my job and homeschool before
putting him...

Question about weight gain by
kylee
I have read that typically a baby will loose weight during the first few
days of life. By the 2nd-3rd week the baby should be back to birth weight,
and gain on an average of 4-7 ounces/week or nearly 2lbs. /month until 3-4
months then this weight gain pattern will slow to 3-5ounces/week.
Is there...

Help. Need some advice...Please. by

I am having some trouble with my wife. We have two boys, one is
2 months old and the other is 19 months. I work and my wife stays at
home. Lately my older son has been whinning and crying. He does this
with her, but not as much with me. It's driving my wife nuts and now

Neighbors complaining about kids by
[email protected]
My daughters are 8 and 5, they often have their friends over, and like
most kids, they like to play and laugh and scream. Unfortunately, my
neighbors must think they live in a resort.
Our trampoline is right by the complaining neighbor's fence, but it's
where I can supervise from the house and I...

Newborn twins with colic - please help! by

My twin boys were born 9/26 at 33 weeks. They were in the NICU for two and a

Start formula, but I did breastfeed for six weeks - it became too difficult
for me to continue. They're growing like weeds and have no...

Allow new bottle habit for 1 y/o? by

The Bug is now 11 months old and has been exclusively breastfed since
birth, with maybe 2 or 3 bottles of pumped milk each week when I'm not
around. By reports of my mother and husband, she likes the bottle a
lot more than as a simple food delivery system, but seems to derive
real emotional...

My oldest, now 8, was officially diagnosed with ADHD at age 6 although I

before he does them (like swinging a baseball bat without looking around to

For those of you that use playtex nurser nipples (we are using the

in color, they seem fine. I used to put the avent ones in all the...
