Is she just not ready for food? by
xkatx
DD2 (now 4 months) is kind of giving me a run for my money...
She still refuses to take a bottle of EBM. I've tried 2 different nipples
yesterday, still no go. I guess I don't really mind so much, as I love the
"our" time of nursing, but I wouldn't mind just a tad of freedom. It would
be kind...

Question on Avent Isis manual pump by
Irina
I plan to use this pump at work, but it says in the instructions that
it needs to be washed and sterilized after each use!!! I need to pump
at least twice while I am at work, and of course there is no way I can
sterilize it or even wash as the "breastfeeding room" at work is
nowhere close to the...

a description of milk flow by
KC
I seem to have many small letdowns rather than a long one. I read
through other posts and people talk about their milk flowing (when
pumping) for 45 minutes. I get the impression that other people's
milk continuously flows instead of a bunch of letdowns like me.
I am pretty sure this is how it...

Lady Q Fertility Monitor? by
Em
I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied using hormonal birth control (I'm
on the minipill right now, have been since 8 weeks post partum) and have
been looking at other options. I came across saliva fertility monitors
like the Lady Q (http://tinyurl.com/2ccfl). Has anyone here used
something like...

Theory on fussy DD by
Legbuh
First a background...
DD goes in spurts 3 or 4 days of being fussy... then 1 day of sleeping
through the night, and most of the next day.
DD is 7 weeks old and fed EBM.
Anyhow... when she's fussy during those days, she eats every 2 hours at
least 5 ounces... sometimes more, and more often.

Am I doing the right thing (plugged duct)? by
DeliciousTruffles
Idiot me wore a too-tight bra for a full day and now my breasts are
sore. I am suspecting a partially plugged ducts. I have been pumping
every time I feel a bit full and also if Isabella hasn't nursed long
enough to take away that soreness. But now my supply is increasing
because of the added...

Hmph! ;-) by
Emily Roysdon
Last night was dh's work Christmas party, and we arranged for the ILs to
take the kids. Rebekah, age 3, wanted it to be a sleep-over since we
brought up the idea of going to Nana's house, and by the time I dropped
them off there last night, they were both gung-ho. Noah, age 5 1/2, was
a little...

Multivitamin Drops (Polivisol) by
Kathy
Yesterday was dd's 2 month WBV (actually she was 9 weeks, 1 day old
yesterday). Her doctor gave us a prescription for multivitamin
drops...Polyvisol with iron.
A few questions...
Are multivitamin drops really necessary? DD is exclusively breastfed.
Does anyone know if these drops contain...

Few Questions, Please Help by
Carol Ann
Hi, everyone!
I'm still here. Trying to get the hang of being breastfeeding and being a
good mother. I have a few questions:
~What can I do about the hiccups that Morgan gets at least 6 times a day?
What is causing them? What can prevent them?
~Am I supposed to be pumping if I am feeding...

Antidepressants in pregnancy and breastfeeding by
Sarah Vaughan
Can anyone point me to any good web resources on antidepressant use in
pregnancy (and, while I'm at it, while breastfeeding)? (Just in case
anyone was wondering, I'm asking professionally and not personally...)
TIA,
All the best,
Sarah

Stupid food advice by
Phoebe & Allyson
When we took Caterpillar for her newborn hearing testing at
the health department, we were offered the opportunity to
get mailings and surveys on child development. I figured
there'd be no harm in that, but now I'm starting to wonder.
We got the "4 Month" handout today. Nearly half the thing
is...

can I mix any other liquid in cereal? by
ted
My dd (6.5 mo) wants variety. Now she suddenly decided she doesn't
want to eat cereal anymore. Can I mix anything else in it other than
breast milk in cereal? There's only 50% chance that she'll eat it so
I've been throwing it away half the time. She used to eat lot of
cereal until couple of weeks...

They've been so popular, that she suggested I offer my services to
other new parents.
Basically what I did with my nephews' sites was to incorporate
their pictures into...
