Vaginal Exam/Stripping of Membranes by
Ericka Kammerer
Joybelle wrote:
Okay, here's another question. I would normally not consider having any
vaginal exams or having my membranes stripped, but this pregnancy is
obviously a bit different. Would this be something you'd consider doing if
you were in my position? One of the doctors mentioned...

Good appointment yesterday by
Joybelle
I've been wanting to post, but my server has been down the last day and a
half!!
Yesterday, we went to see the perinatologist. Saw a different one again. I
was all geared up to refuse an induction, but it wasn't even brought up!!
This guy was cool. You could tell he was more evidence-based. At...

37 week update by
Andrea S
Well I can't quite believe I am this far already! This pregnancy has flown
by.
I am not uncomfortable like I was with the boys, there's no feeling of 'get
this baby out'. In part that's because this baby feels much smaller,
although I am having lots of contrax after being busy but I am enjoying...

Question about after birth & your period... by
xkatx
Just a quick question about after birth... About how long does it take to
get your period again after baby is born? I can't remember from the last
time since it was a while back.
I know with DD, I bled for about a week or so. Then it was completely gone
and nothing came back. I'm wondering...

Hmmmm... I think it's possible I'm having contractions. Nothing too

I have no control over the situation! (Vent) by
Anonymama
I have no control over this baby, okay? No matter how many times you
tell me that you hope it's a girl, there's nothing I can do about it.
Sheesh! My in-laws, my friends, people keep tellimng me "I hope it's a
girl." How rude. And bizarre. I would never say anything like that to a
pregnant woman....

Single Umbilical Artery / 2 Vessel Cord by

My wife and I just returned from our 16 week ultrasound where we went

found out that she only has a single umbilical artery (SUA)/ a 2 vessel
cord. We are first time parents and have done some research but are

SPD and birth trauma - update by
Anne Rogers
There is one problem with pregnancy and complications, in pregnancy you are
cared for my a midwife and if necessary an obstetrician, after pregnancy
your midwife cares for you and baby for 28 days and then it's back to
regular health care with your GP. So this means I hadn't seen my GP...

Initially, when we were given the diagnosis of spina bifida, we were told a

Cautiously, optimistically de-lurking by
Kerry D
Hi everyone -
I've been quite the lurker here ever since I was pg with DD1, born back
in March, 2003, and have posted a few times since then, unfortunately
mostly about m/c and the like.
A bit of background - I had the ideal pregnancy with DD1 - no morning
sickness, no side effects other than the...
