Depressed, got FLO after only 3 months by
Jill
If I am still breastfeeding, why did I get my period after only 3 months.
My supply has dimished recently due to a lot of dental work, infection and
antibiotics, had to pump. Trying to get it back up.
Could this be why?
If I get my supply back up, witll Flo go away?
Thanks

Hales lookups please...? by
Chotii
I need to go in for an endoscopy due to heartburn that just isn't under
control, or resolving. However, the doctor said I should "just pump and
dump for 24 hours because the medications are known to pass to the baby" and
I said "Uh, this baby doesn't take a bottle" and we sort of stalled. Then...

Wish Us Luck...... by
Sharon
Well.....today I go back to work. Fortunately it is on a part time
basis - my teaching schedule is such that I will only be gone M-W-F
from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Unfortunately, Sophie is not crazy about the
bottle, and we haven't had much success with it. But DH is a pretty
patient guy, so I am...

Follow Up, Friend Adopting by
New York Jen
My friend had the appointment with the lactation consultant this afternoon.
She was instructed to pump every 2-3 hours, as well as drink fenugreek tea
and malt beer and eat oatmeal. She was also told to drink a large amount of
water just before bed so she'll start waking up to pee...the theory...

water for newborns? by
ddan-n-zlatka
My wife and I just had our first (only?) child and have had daily
discussions about giving the baby water in addition to breastfeeding.
To this end our baby feeds regularly and is very healthy (knock on
wood), but my wife insists that giving the baby is beneficial and I
say that in all the...

Letter to the Editor by
Lorraine
I ran across the letter below in the local newspaper. I thought you
might enjoy it. I've heard most of it before, but the part that really
stood out for me was the comment about formula being human milk and not
alien milk. At least I think that's what she's trying got say. That's a
new one.
I'm...

Help for parents of infants with reflux by
Rich
I have invented a device to help infants with reflux sleep.
I am looking for a family who has an infant (younger than 1) who is
suffering from reflux that is interested in testing the efficacy of
the device.
Because the device weighs about 75 pounds and is roughly 4 feet long,
by 3 feet tall, by...

Still producing milk after weaning by
Shelley
Hello everyone,
I started weaning my baby girl in August, bfing for the last time on
Sept 1. Since then, I occassionally notice milk leaking when I take a
shower. My dh has been out of the country for 11 months and returned
last week. When he would stimulate my nipples, milk would leak out.
Is...

nursing and ergo carrier? by
Al Bell
Nursing and Ergo Carrier:
When my daughter passed 20 pounds, I had a hard time fanning the shoulder
of the Maya Wrap, so I got an Ergo baby carrier, which is sort of like a
Baby Born with a waist band.
The Ergo is great, but it's really hard to breastfeed in it. I have to
hold my breast up almost...

First question for this baby by
DeliciousTruffles
I'm back!!! YAY!!!!
Now to business. :-)
Isabella is nursing round the clock trying to get rid of the meconium.
She has had about 10 poopy diapers and they are still blackish and very
mucousy (she had a lot of amniotic fluid in her). My milk has started
to come in today. I've noticed a change...

Eating habits in a toddler by
CY
My almost 2 yr old daughter has suddenly decided that she does not want to
sit down and eat a meal at the table when DH and I eat. It's pointless to
force her as she point blank refuses to eat if we make her, and throws food,
smears it etc. So we have not forced the issue assuming that she just...

Hi -
I have a friend who does the following with his child, and he claims
to have read all the Parenting magazines and literally calls himself
an "expert" on raising kids (he has one, that is 2 yrs old so far). He
disagrees with me that these things are detrimental to his child's
physical and...

pm formula for longer sleep? by
Rachel
I just attended a "new mommies" event featuring a pediatrician who
discussed sleep issues. He suggested that giving a bottle of formula
for the last feeding would enable a bf baby to sleep longer. Has
anyone tried this? I'm hesitant, since I already know DD has
sensitivity to both dairy and soy in...

Can I use sunflower oil without any allergic reaction risk for an 8

chips, veg burgers cooked in the oven etc.
