doll house by Stephanie
Would a doll house be fun for a 2yo for a Christmas present? DD plays with toys that the toysrus.com label as 3yo toys, for what that is worth. Can anyone recommend a rugged and fun doll house? I want a kind of traditional one, not the Dora the Explorer one. For better or worse, it's a...

Showing out with Company by mypet
I have always spent a lot of time with my 10 yr. old granddaughter and have found her to be bright and responsible EXCEPT when she has company. This is not a new behavior, but it seems to be getting worse with age and we'd like to head it off before hitting the teenage years. When she has a...

laundry and house cleaning poll - for those with little ones! by dkhedmo
With a 5.5yo and a 1.5yo, I'm killing myself trying to keep up with the mounds of laundry that accumulate and I'm wondering if I'm creating my own circle of hell by using too many clothes over the course of the day/week. So, a little poll on laundry and other housecleaning items... How many sets...

Alternative to oragel toothpaste ( flouride toothpaste) by [email protected]
Where I live, the only non-flouride toothpaste is the itty bitty oragel one. It's very small and comparatively very expensive. Does anyone know of any non-flouride toothpaste that comes in bigger size and may be not cost so much? Thanks.

Follow up to my scissors and curly hair questions. :-( by Cathy Weeks
Ok... you can probably guess what happened from the subject line, but less than a week after we bought Kivi the child-safety scissors, she cut all of the front/top of her hair off. One spot down to the scalp - she has a tiny bald spot about the size of the end of my pinky. So... all those...

flouride toothpaste - good or bad by [email protected]
I've been searching on google but the information is contradictory. Can an almost 3 year old use a (bubblegum flavored) toothpaste that has flouride in it? Or should we stick with the overly expensive flouride-free orajel baby toothpaste for her? At what age can we make a switch from flouride free...

Toddler tempers by Mary Mom
My 17-month old son is generally happy, playful, and well-adjusted. But sometimes, when he doesn't get his way, he'll have temper outbursts/tantrums. This is expected from children his age...our 3-year old daughter used to do the same thing (still does, but not as bad now), but sometimes he'll...

So my son has worked for this company (a national chain) for over a year. He gets benefits, such as vacation and sick pay. As soon as he knew he was leaving for college, he gave them his notice -- that he'd be leaving in 4 or 5 weeks. (I had suggested he NOT do that, but he was too excited about...
