Happy 2nd Birthday to Christa's Birgit! I hope you had a wonderful day! I'm sorry this didn't go out earlier but Birgit's birthday mates, Katerina and Joshua, were keeping me busy today. LOL! :-D -- Brigitte aa #2145 edd #3 February 15, 2004

one year old and solids by Marie
nip...Hi. My Bethany is a year old now. For some reason I have been a little anxious about her eating habits (or lack of!) She nurses still many times a day and night. She will not eat breakfast, she will eat a few bites for lunch and dinner. Altogether she may eat half a cup's worth of food a day!...

men! by Anne Rogers
One of my hobbies is coxing (steering a rowing boat and yelling at the rowers!) today was my first time at training since ds was born. After training we were standing around chatting and someone offered some food around, I immediately requested some (not a good thing in front of rowers, coxes are...

Question about whole milk by Leann and Donald
I recently started giving Lucy (1 year) whole milk. Do any of you know how long it can be kept out of the refrigerator? Also, after warming it, can you re-refrigerate it and then use it again? Leann

Our breastfeeding experience by KS
I just wanted to vent, and hopefully this newsgroups will entertain me. Here is our recent breastfeeding experience. Things are a bit of a blur, so bear with me. Our son was born at 6:22am on Tuesday, October 14. Labor was over 26 hours, and the baby was finally born via C-section. (I was 9cm,...

Another reason to hate twiddling by Leslie
William, age 2.5, *has* to twiddle on one breast while nursing from the other. I wish I had put a stop to the habit when it was first beginning. A few days ago, I nursed him after he was playing in the yard. Apparently, he had been playing in . . . POISON IVY. HE didn't get it--but I have it all...

I've joined the ranks of the bitten! by Belphoebe
DS's first two teeth--the middle, bottom ones--came through a little over a month ago (he's a little over seven months now), so I knew I could expect to be bitten before too long. The first bite came a few days ago; I let out an involuntary "ouch," unlatched DS, and redid the latch. Since then,...

vent - was 16 weeks not sleeping again by teapot
Well Moo boy is now 19 weeks old, and 3 weeks on from the not sleeping post - guess what - he's not sleeping again. He has started to pee himself twice a night, this wakes him up, he wants to comfort feed, so he pees himself again, it's a circle. I use cloth normally but have tried disposables...

More milk on right than left? by Kathy
Here I am with yet another question... I notice when I pump (with an Avent Isis) that my right breast seems to produce a lot more milk than the left...or at least it releases more milk for the pump than the left...I'd say close to twice as much. I never really would've noticed it by just bf'ing...

milk went bad by K.B.
I just defrosted some milk that I pumped a couple of months ago. I was going to make my sons cereal with it. I noticed it was all curdled. I smelled it and it was bad. I just took it out this morning and I freeze it as soon as I'm done pumping it. Why could it have gone bad. What a waste. Kris

Caterpillar has a drink of water by Phoebe & Allyson
When she has her bath, Caterpillar (4 1/2 months) gets her own two-handled cup to play with. Otherwise she wants to play with the cup I use to wet and rinse her with. I usually give her some clean water in it to play with, and it goes over the side and over her chin and everywhere but in her...
