Feeling better...thanks by
L.A.
Hi all...
Thanks to all who answered my earlier post about feeling rushed into
interventions because I'm a post-dates VBAC candidate. I saw the OB
yesterday, who checked my cervix and proclaimed it slightly posterior,
about 25% effaced and not dilated. Baby is still not engaged, although
is head...

Strange smells... by
xkatx
I seem to have a problem with smells... Has anyone had anything similar
happen or have I fallen off my rocker?
Lately I've taken a real liking to the smells of the strangest, and normally
grossest, smells, and can't stand things that normally smell 'good'...
For example... I no longer gag at the...

Sleeping Baby by
Jenrose
I know a lot of folks here co-sleep, which I can believe would result
in a more soundly sleeping child; but is there anybody who doesn't
co-sleep
who's had success with non-cry-it-out methods?
Shiny's in the cosleeper next to me, but is more "distant" a sleeper than
either of the other...

Part-time daycare for infants by
Benevolent Prof
I'm looking to put "Lentil" into daycare two days per week when my
maternity leave is up. (DH works part-time.) She'll be 3 months old at
the time. I've put my name on the waiting lists of the reputable day
care centers in the area, but I'm starting to get the impression that
day care for infants...

36 week visit by
Amy
Here's my update, with various questions interspersed...
I'm 1.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced! I know that this means nothing in
terms of when I'm going to have the baby, but I can't help but be
hopeful that it will be SOON (especially since it's about 98 and humid
outside!!). I would just love to...

Things are going well: BP was 104/66, no glucose, trace
protein, weight up about 39lbs (according to my own
scale), heart rate was 143, fundal height 34cm.
This doc says "Have we met? You look familiar." I
said I thought we'd seen him in the...

have another u/s in a few weeks....I hope that it has not grown. But I
just want to ask you all about delivery with a fibriod. I've heard

Weight Gain and Sleeping Position questions (during preg that is!) by
Linda
Hi again, thanks to all who replied to my last couple of questions - have
some more.
I'm almost 16 weeks, and have been putting on a LOT of weight recently and
it's starting to worry me a bit. I put on 2 kilos almost straight away -
which I gather was probably fluid, and then nothing for about 8...

9.5 Month Well Baby Visit by
Jamie Clark
Addie had her 9.5 month checkup today, and was a real trouper. 19lbs 15oz
and 28 3/4 inches long. She's in the 75-90th percentile for length and the
50-75th percentile for weight. It's funny, Taylor was always in the 80-90th
percentile for both length and weight, so Addie seems much more like...

3yo with runny nose update by
Emily
Hi folks,
Since I posted a couple of weeks ago about my
mom's concerns that DS has had more than his fair
share of coughs/runnny noses, I've been tracking
his symptoms. It seemed like a good idea to do
that before doing any elimination diets, etc, since
I need a baseline to compare against.
I'm...
