Bare-bottom potty training & cleanup by
Irene
Well, we've started trying potty training ds, but running into a few
roadblocks.
A little background: ds will be 3 in July. Hopefully, he will be
starting pre-school in the fall, but needs to be potty trained. He's
also around 40 lbs, so not fitting into the biggest Huggies anymore,
and just...

Kids & sleep (mini-vent) by
Kari
Im just wondering what the "norm" is around here for bedtimes/waking times.
I have 3 kids ages 8, 5 and 8 mos. The baby goes to bed last - between 8:30
and 9:00. The middle child goes to bed first at 8:00, my oldest at 8:30.
I ask because even though this seems like enough sleep for them for...

over reacting by

As a result of many life changes, we ae currently looking for new daycare
for our kids. I noticed something at daycare that I really did not like the
other day and I wonder if it is less of a big deal than I think it is.
I went to pick up my daughter. She was sitting there having a...

Any "Wiggles" experts out there?! :) by
Ms. Fonebone
Hi!
Okay, so my husband & I have been watching the show for the last
couple of months with our toddler son (he LOVES the show) and we like
it too! We saw them in concert in April & they were just terrific.
:)
As there are quite a few repeats on the Disney Channel, there are some
odd questions...

Gas Fireplace Safety/Childproofing??? by
Paula
Just wondering if anyone out there uses their gas fireplace as a main
source of heat and how you 'babyproofed' it. I've seen the
guards/rails that are sold to surround the hearth - but these are
like, $200!!!
I've heard that they have some gas fireplaces out there that don't get
hot to the touch...

How long for board books? by
Phoebe & Allyson
When are kids old enough for paper books instead of board books?
Caterpillar doesn't usually shred her paper books, but they're really too
long for her. (We have a "look behind the tab" board book, and one of the
tabs has been torn off from excessive loving.) I'm tired of reading the
same books,...

Good comics for kids? by
heather
Hi there,
My 4yo loves the Sunday comics. I was thinking it might be fun to start him
on some comic books. I loved them when I was a kid, and I figure anything
that builds interest in reading is a good thing. Can anyone recommend some
good titles for his age group?
Thanks!

I will start this by apologizing for the length. I want to be sure to
give all relevant information from the start, and to do that I must
cover a couple of years worth of information.
I've Google'd and found only a handful of threads that are close
enough in circumstance to apply. I've tried to...
