you know you're tired when..... by
JJ
So seems I am 'under stress' with a just turned 2 year old and 2 month
old who feeds every hour all night since apparently I've been grinding
my teeth in my sleep. I guess that means I actually do get some sleep.
So I've apparently ground so much that I went through to the root and
now have an...

Solids revert by
[email protected]
My DS is 8.5 months and for a while there, we were doing great on
solids. He was eating all the veggies I could put in front of him. I
made some homemade ones to supplement the 4 kinds of jarred ones.
He then had a solids strike for about a week. Couldn't get anything,
even cereal, into...

Ah, the joy of BF in Europe by

At least in Switzerland where I am now - I can BF anywhere and no one
even bats an eyelash, in fact I have FIL gazing lovingly saying what a
beautiful natural thing it is and how happy he is to see his new
granddaughter nourished so....

DD only naps on my chest! by
cjra
DD is 8 weeks now and doing great. BF seems to be going well, any food
allergy issues have been overcome (ie don't think she has any), she now
weighs 10lbs 8oz.
She sleeps ok at night, we've finally managed to swaddle her and that's
helped a lot with her early morning thrashing. But napping is...

Post-weaning breast question by
Belphoebe
Last weekend I posted about my 3.5-year-old DS having weaned himself. We've
now crossed three weeks without nursing. I've been thinking of bra
shopping, and I was wondering if some of you who have been through weaning
could give me an idea as to what I can expect sizewise. Did you...

Pain after the milk blister by
[email protected]
Hi,
About 1.5 - 2 weeks ago, I saw I had a milk blister on my right nipple.
I worked it out in the shower and it is long gone, however, that bb is
still just as sore.
I don't think its thrush, as the other bb doesn't have this issue and
no white spots in baby's mouth. I really don't think its...

Cholesterol meds compatible w/bf'ing by
CY
I have just learned that my cholesterol is high (250, yikes) and I have been
given 3 months to do diet modifications and exercise to lower it. The doc
wants me to go on medication but I need to know which ones are compatible
with breastfeeding. Anyone?
TIA.

Cold/allergy/cough + breastfeeding by
[email protected]
New to group. Seem to have either hayfever+cough or minor cold+cough.
Get it every Sept for past 20 years. Normally take Benadryl+Robitussin
DM for 2-3 days, and I'm fine.
Been exclusively breastfeeding my 4.5 mo old (and don't want to stop or
use formula). Did internet research on "safer" OTC...

advice please :/ by

Jessica's now 11 weeks old. She's breastfeeding lke a champ and is now
16lbs. However, a few times when I've fed her lately, I've noticed her
suddenly get very snuffly, and when I roll her over, there's milk coming out
her nose...This isn't every feed, but it's not rare either.
Is she just a...

Those whose babies fed two-hourly through the night by
Liz
How long did this go on? And how did it end? Did you need to teach them
somehow not to wake in the night? Or did it just stop eventually of its own
accord?
My 6.5 month old DD is waking 2-hourly at night and I feed her till she goes
to sleep. My DH thinks this can't go on an tries to put her to...

CHRONIC yeast mastitis- please advise on diet by
[email protected]
I have had this yeast infection for two months on and off. I need to
make a dietary change. Foods either feed the yeast or give my baby gas.
Has anyone successfully gotten rid of yeast through a special diet?
What did you eat? Meal ideas?
BTW - tried everything else including Diflucan and Gentian...

Grandmother Issue again by
Jenny
Going back to my DD and MIL situation, I believe that MIL has clinical
depression, I am not a doctor by any means but the symptoms do match.
Could it be that DD is picking this up and that is why she does not
want to be with her? She suffers from Parkinson's Disease and this is
partially the...

9 months, no teeth by
oregonchick
Emily is now 9 months. She eats everything she can get her hands on. She's
happy and healthy, but has no teeth. Not even a hint of a tooth. Is this
abnormal, or just part of the varying degree of "normal"?
Also, she still only weighs 17 lbs, despite her good eating. I'm not
concerned, but...

I just nursed at 9000 feet... :-) by
Mum of Two
....in a scenic flight over the mountain. My ears were popping rather
painfully, and it seemed to help DD's. The pilot looked a bit surprised when
he turned back to us....but he turned around for a second look, lol. I guess
it's not every day that you get a 26 month old breastfeeding in a light...
