No poop! :( by
KD
Greetings all:
My boy is three months old and exclusively breastfed. He typically
poops at least once a day, but now he hasn't had a bowel movement since
Monday night (it's now Wednesday night).
How long should I let this go on before seeking medical attention? Is
this unusual? It certainly is...

CTTD: signing "more" by
Irrational Number
Rocky, 13 months, apparently has been picking
up on Pillbug's therapy. I was nursing him to
sleep tonight and I thought he was done, so I
pulled up the flap. He looked at me and signed
"more".

Breastfeeding not medically necessary by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
So says my insurance company, having rejected a claim from a specialist
at the Faulkner Breast Centre who tried a procedure to open my milk
pores to enable me to breastfeed my newborn four months ago.
I am outraged and helpless.

questions about development - when do you worry? by

My nearly 7 month old daughter Emily is still on ebm, but will have to make
the switch to formula as our supply will be running out in a matter of days.
All has seemed well, although she seems so small! Just the other day, a
friend of ours brought their 6 wk old over and he is 12 lbs. He started...

frothy poops related to diet or not? by
Linda
DD is almost 6 months and initially her poops were once every 2 days,
mustardy and a solidish consistancy. Then almost 3 months ago she had to go
on antibiotics and instantly she started pooping frothy green liquid,
several times a day. I didn't worry initially as I know antibiotics can
affect...

can a toddler learn to breastfeed? by
Anne Rogers
my toddler was forced to wean at 17 months when my milk abruptly vanished
when I became pregnant (we were only doing 1 feed per day, so it probably
just wasn't enough to maintain supply when combined with pregnancy).
With that behind us, I always considered that whatever milk I had in future
that...

How to teach a picky eater to eat? by
New Mommy
My daughter 19 months will not eat anything that is mushy. In general
she prefers finger food.
Like she will not eat yogurt, mac&cheese or for that matter even
toasted bread - if we spread butter on it - she will not eat but she
will eat bread without any butter or jam.
As a result - she has a very...

An Australian Milk Bank by
FlowerGirl
A midwife on the Gold Coast in Queensland is establishing a milk bank /
pasteurisation centre for breast milk .... I think its Australia's first.
Apparently there are 11 milk banks in the US, 17 in the UK, 1 in Canada,
proportionately more in Europe ... and 300 in Brazil.
There is more...
