Update by
SMK
Hi everyone,
we had our first visit. It was great. My OB did do a transvaginal. It
was amazing to see the little heart beating away! What an experience.
Even though I have done this before, it still takes my breath away.
thank you all for your wishes...........

hearing the heartbeat by
LeAnn
I went to see my doctor around 10 weeks and we were able to hear the
baby's heartbeat. But yesterday at 14 weeks neither the nurse or
doctor could find a heartbeat. The doctor says not to worry and come
back in 2 weeks to try again. Has anyone heard the heartbeat at one
appointment and not the...

19-week Ultrasound by
DeliciousTruffles
I had an ultrasound today and the baby is healthy. The heartbeat was 147
and there were absolutely NO markers for Down's Syndrome nor any
abnormalities of any kind.
It's been a tense couple of weeks because I've been waiting on the
Triple Screen results. I had my blood drawn two friday's ago and I...

MIA by
Plissken
Well, I'm going to be MIA for a while. We are moving today and are going to
be living with my parents until we can move into our new house (about 3
weeks). I'll try to keep up with the posts while I'm there but I just HATE
dial-up and get very frustrated with it very quickly. I'm not...

Quick Question - Might be a little long by
Paul Morris
Thanks to all of you for replying to my post yesterday.
After speaking to my wife about it this evening and reading your posts I
have decided to wait for the next scan.
Sue, answering your question about us having another scan. The last scan was
a dating scan (my wife didn't know the date of the...

Well, I finally feel ready to offer my first real post! I have been a lurker

Quick Question - Might be a little long by
Paul Morris
Hello all,
I have been an avid watcher of this news group and thought it time to post
my first message.
My wife is 13.5 weeks pregnant with our first. We have just come back from
our 12 week scan and everything is going really well! The midwife even
commented on how active the little one was!
I...

My awesome shower by
sher
I felt really awkward when my friends approached me about wanting to
have a shower for me. This is our third boy, so there's not much that
we need. Also, we're better off financially than most of our friends,
so having a diapers and wipes type of shower seemed really weird.
Well, they insisted...

First ultrasound and second visit by
Joanna Kimball
Brief update: Had a very nice first ultrasound today. Saw the baby right
away, little heartbeat going away like gangbusters (162, and we actually got
to hear it, which was cool), and was at 7w6d according to the crown-rump
length. So now we get to tell people and look forward to the next seven...

Not posted for a while...... by
Sophie
I am hoping some of you lovely and very experienced ladies may be able to
give me some facts?
All 3 of mine were c-sections.
1) For those who have had a c-section, how quickly were you walking
around?
Next day. They make you.

Lost my plug...how long to go? Advice needed by
Elissa
Hi all...I'm a very infrequent poster/mostly lurker with a question. I'm 35
weeks pregnant with b/b twins. Each weighs about five pounds and they've both
been doing great. On Saturday my mucous plug came out, and I've been having
increasingly painful but irregular contractions ever since. I...

Name poll by
Elly
OK, I already said in my posts recently that we're trying to shorten the
baby names' list.
A short background: we decided not to find out the baby's sex before its
birth, so we are choosing both a name for a boy and a name for a girl.
We live in Italy, so we chose the names that could be spelled...

Co-sleepers/bedside cots and safety by
Sidheag McCormack
Today is my day for asking questions, hope you don't mind :-)
We're planning on using what is called in the UK a bedside cot, or in US
speak a co-sleeper - i.e. a cot(UK)/crib(US) with one side missing,
fastened to the adult bed along the missing side, the idea being that
adults and baby have...
