CT scan while breastfeeding by
[email protected]
I will get a CT scan of abdomen and pelvis (non contrast) next week.
The reason of the scan is to look for kidney stones. The lady who made
my appointment confirmed that I will not be injected anything. I am
still wondering, even if I am not injected anything, will the scan
affect my milk? Should I...

I said it by
Anne Rogers
I never got to this point with Nathanael, but today I said something I never
expected myself to say, which was "I'd stop breastfeeding Ada, if she would
take a bottle".
Luckily for her, she won't take a bottle, so I won't stop, but it's a close
call right now.
If breastfeeding was going perfectly...

How do you know what it is you ate? by
[email protected]
My baby is 7 weeks old and started to get really gassy/fussy about 3
weeks ago. I am/was a HUGE cow milk drinker (which is kinda gross...
if you think about us being the only mammals who drink another mammals'
milk... and odd that so many people shudder at human milk.) and eater
(milk, yogurt, ice...

Mirena. breastfeeding and AF by
CY
I am just curious & thought I'd post here since so many of us seem to be
using the Mirena.
With DD, I got AF back at 7 months pp, using mini-pill BC.
This time around, I was using a diaphragm for a few months and then switched
to Mirena at around 5 months pp. I am now at 8 months pp and no sign...

Pharmac won't fund my medication by
Mum of Two
as they don't consider breastfeeding to be an important enough circumstance
to warrant it. So no Zoloft for me. I'm not prepared to wean, so I'll just
have to bear with the depression for a bit longer and/or find other ways to
cope. This sucks, and not just for me, but for so many mothers this...

sore nipples by
Linda
Hi, I have a 3 week old and feeding REALLY hurts. I realise that it is
normal to have some pain and that it can take a while to get used to it, so
I was hoping for some feedback - whether I have issues or it's just
standard.
DD feeds for about 10 minutes most of the time and over the past few...

2 month checkup! by

Madeline is now 2 months old...how time flies!
She weighed in at a nicely average 11lbs, but is a lanky 24 inches long (95
%ile)!
Anyone have advice about car seats? At this rate she will outgrow the
infant seat by height well before she meets the weight requirement of the
toddler seat I had...

Tia Carrere breastfeeding and Dancing with the Stars on ABC by
[email protected]
I think it's great to see Tia Carrere dance on DWTS while still
breastfeeding her 3 month old baby. It's so funny to watch her against
other women who have so little body fat and so many six packs! The
greatest thing is she's such a sensual woman at a natural weight and
still strutting her stuff in...
