Confused about pumping...some q's by

"Irish Marie" wrote
I think I have a mental block understanding the logistics ;-p
Ok, if I pump in between feedings but the baby wakes up sooner than
expected
will there be a problem with him getting enough milk at his next feed?
I don't think so at this stage. He might have to work a bit...

DD sat just a few weeks ago. She was about one week short of 5 months when
she sat unassisted for good and had been whinning to be put upright for a

She is also almost crawling (two knees go forward but she lays down to move
the hands forward).
Babies are different and while...

Teresa
hi,
i noticed that a lot of you have the avent isis pump. i love mine, but
wondered how you all use yours. . . specifically:
do you keep pumping rhythmically 2-3 seconds for the duration that your milk
is letting down -or-
once your milk has let down, do you keep the suction until there is a lot...

Hiya All.
I'm pretty much at wits end, so I thought Id introduce myself, and get some
advice from the group.
To be brief, my son Sam was born 5 weeks premmie. He was quite heavy (7
pounds one), and was allowed on the ward with me. Unfortunately, after the
second day it was obvious that latching...

Another strange rash question by
ted
Hi all,
My dd is almost 6 months old. I'm giving her solids once a day at 6pm.
So far she had rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, peach, avocado and pear. I
noticed yesterday that she had a dry patch of rash on her right hand
at two places. It's not at any other place. She does have small
patches of rash...

I was talking to my DH. I have an outing planned for late March. Which will
make my baby girl approx. 6 months old. She will have been in daycare for a
couple months by then, unfortunately. (Ah the trials of making a boat load
of money. Bwaaa Haaa.) Anyway, I was talking to DH about how he can give...

what is a good breast pump by
Dawn Lawson
Lori wrote:
Hi everyone
Can someone please tell me what a good breast pump would be.
Avent Isis for manuals
Medela's Pump in Style for electric.
You're likely going to hear that electric is far better for serious pumping
(ie, going back to work early)

Amazing what you find out - Avent Isis pump by
Cathy
I went to a friend's place yesterday, and her Isis was on the bench. I was
amazed that it had a cap over it that held the handle in place. I have been
using mine for 4 months without that cap, and thinking it was a bit funny
that the handle kept falling off. Guess what I found when I looked in...

Just wondering by
Mogget
Is it possible to generalise about how milk supply comes in with second
& subsequent children?
I had a devil of a job getting adequate milk production, but got there
in the end. I'm wondering whether it's likely to be easier if there is
a next time?

People always ask me if he "sleeps...

Can solids be introduced too early (even after 6 months?) by
Cathy
I have been having no end of problems with DD since I introduced solids just
after 6 months (she is now nearly 8 months). I felt that she didn't need
them, as she was still happy with the breast only, and was very settled.
But I bowed to pressure, and started. And she is now really unsettled,...
