Solids before milk at 7 months? by

All the resources I
find seem to assume that the baby was started on solids at 4 months. So
when things say that e.g. fork mashed stuff should be introduced at 6
months, it assumes that the baby has already had 2 months of puree.

Moved and Luke weaned by
Nikki
Well, we are finally moved. We hit some snags and it took longer then
expected but we are in the new house now and life is good. I weaned Luke.
He asked for num-nums often at first and actually still does on occasion but
was not ever upset when I said they were all gone. To be honest...

supply is suddenly abundant :-) by
KC
I have posted several times about how hard bf is and how my kid is
constantly on the breast, so I am very excited to post that (knock on
wood) we are past that hurdle. For the past few days every feeding is
not egregiously long anymore, and just this morning to my amazement I
was able to pump 2.5...

Now what the heck? by
KC
I don't recall, is it your dh who is taking care of your ds while you
work? If so, and if you really want to keep your new job, then if
your ds really won't take a bottle after say 6 hours then your dh can
syringe feed him. Your dh may have to go through some hell, but he
can handle it. ...

OT Anyone here used henna? (x-posted) by
andrea
I really want to use henna hair dye, but I read somewhere that once it's on
you can't get rid of it unless you grow it out.
On another site it says it last 4-6 weeks!
I am confused.
I really like the idea of using a plant extract on my hair. Also is it safe
to use when breastfeeding?
Thanks for...

Reflux questions by
Lina
Alena has reflux, which we discovered after she turned blue and stopped
breathing on me.
Here come the questions...
Can her reflux be made worse by the things I eat? If so what foods should I
avoid? Is there anything else I can do to help her feel better?

Fed up with recurrent plugged ducts. by
Cathy
Hi all, I thought I had 'recovered' from a plugged duct 10 days ago, but
now I find I have it again - same place, same breast. After the last one, I
had a really sore nipple. An LC said nipple infection, so I am now on
antibiotics. But the nipple pain didn't get better after 4 days, so I
started...

OT ish - bedding at night by
teapot
I am worried about overheating the Moo boy at night but I think he is
waking up becuase he is cold. The instructions I can find for cot
bedding assume you live in a house with constant temperatures, we
don't. It is around 25 degrees in the day time and he goes to bed
with a very very thin quilt,...

a description of milk flow by
KC
I seem to have many small letdowns rather than a long one. I read
through other posts and people talk about their milk flowing (when
pumping) for 45 minutes. I get the impression that other people's
milk continuously flows instead of a bunch of letdowns like me.
I am pretty sure this is how it...

Adjusting for pre-term delivery by
ted
Any of you who's baby was born before due date.. do you adjust
milestones according to how sooner he/she was born? Like giving solids
later than other babies etc.. This is just one example.
Or should we follow everything just like the other full term babies.
Thanks.

mylicon is a sleep inducer?? by
ted
My baby had gas (I think) last night and I gave her mylicon drops. She
slept well after that. Is it because mylicon is such a good medicine
or does it induce sleep in babies? I always wondered if it makes them
sleepy. What do you think?
Thanks.

pumping logistics by
Irrational Number
So, how do you all do it? My pediatrician tells
me to pump after every feeding. Sounds good in
the abstract, but after a feeding, I have to entertain
the Pillbug, or change him, or something comes up.
By the time I'm ready to pump, it's no longer right
"after" the nursing.
