Stopped pumping 8-( by
Ruth Shear
G'day
Just thought you lot would be the ones to appreciate what I've just
done, or stopped doing. I decided to stop pumping this week. DS turned
20 months yesterday and so I think I've done enough. This coming Fall,
DS will be in full time daycare when I go back to full time teaching,
and I have...

History of psychosis: drug and other questions by
almostmom
I am almost due with my first child and I really want to breastfeed. I
have a couple of questions, and I hope some of you could answer some of
them.
I have a history of 'mental illness'. I have been hospitalized five
years ago, and absolutely hated that. I never want to have to go there
again. So...

He is finally doing it!!! by
badgirl
Nicolas, the sly little thing ;) has decided he likes to take steps
now. At almost 14 months he is finally actually walking instead of
taking those 2 or 3 wobbly steps between stuff to hang on to. He even
managed to stand up by himself without using something to pull up on
;)
Milestones like this...

IUD and supply by
Cary Hayes
I am considering getting a Copper IUD and was wondering what other's
experiences with this have been. Is it painful to get implanted? Did it
affect your supply? Are your cycles heavier and more frequent?
I have been reading some about it on the internet and just wanted to hear
from some people...

Am I going wrong somewhere....? by
Shunaari
My 4 week old son is not letting me get much sleep for the last 4
nights. He used to b/feed and go to sleep and wake up every 3 hours.
Now he seems to be waking up evry half hour or every hour. I feel like
a zombie in the mornings because I have had hardly any sleep. When I
feed him, he seems to...

Men and breastfeeding by
Victor
I was looking around for the thread to latch on to (no pun intended), and I
figured this was probably the best one.
In 1988 my wife had a baby girl (her third, my second). Like our previous
daughter, we decided she'd be breastfed. Unlike with the previous daughter,
however, this time I lactated. I...

Lots and lots of water :-).
Some people have had great results from doperidamone (I know that's
spelled wrong...)

Annoying eating habits by
Akuvikate
My sweet wonderful 6 week old DD has picked up a few annoying eating
habits. I'm posting in hopes of getting some insight into either why
she does this, what to do about it, or both.
1. Towards the end of a feed, sometimes she'll start contorting and
twisting her whole body around while keeping...

Sorry, I don't really understand the question. On the off

rephrase with some more detail?

Shelby, from the description you gave I thought, either he has a stomach upset
or an allergy. Then you say that he has an allergy, and that at you have been
eating foods that you know he is allergic to. If the baby only been unwell
since you started using dairy products again, you know what the...

My turn to gripe by
Karen Askey
I usually skip over the lamentations of "Woe is my, I started my period today."
Whaa, whaa, go tell someone who cares. :-/
But of course now that it has happened to ME, my whole attitude has changed.
DS is only 3 1/2 months! It really IS SO UNFAIR! :-)
I am guessing that AF returned b/c I don't...

Today's the day. by

For a while we've been telling Gareth that when he's three, it's time
to stop nursing. He's been down to one nurse at bedtime for months
now. He did have a good long nurse last night, and I told him it's
the last time.
Of course, he rolled out of bed this morning and thumped his head and
wanted...

Baby Acne & Allergies by
Phoebe & Allyson
Poor Caterpillar (7 weeks) is horribly broken out. She has
been for several weeks, and I suspect she will be for
several more weeks. My copy of Sears' The Baby Book says
that baby acne onsetting before 2 weeks and spreading into
the hair and down the neck can be a sign of allergy. Hers
didn't...
