Week 38 appointment by
Zaz
Here goes.
My cervix is thinning, I am 1 cm dilated. This time, my midwife did not
make any prediction: I think she understood just by looking at me that if
she once again said "a matter of days", I would tell her off (that's what
she said the last time).
She suggested taking primrose oil and...

help 2 yo extreamly attached by

Ok now I am getting worried. All of a sudden Eva won't let me out of her
sight. I don't understand what may be going on. Last night was total heck.
I would get her to sleep then as soon as I would try to leave her room she
would wake up screaming. If I have to go to the bathroom she cries...

Why do you need a nickname? (Was Checking for progress) by
Leslie
Why do some people put so much emphasis on finding a nickname for a child?
This is something that totally eludes me.
For me, it's because I KNOW I will shorten the name, no matter how much I say I
won't. It's just the way I talk. So I try to think of an acceptable way to
shorten it in...

partial bedrest and/or brethine for braxton hicks? by
Ann
I'm 32 weeks along and am getting braxton hicks contractions
regularly, I'll often have 8-10 per hour and they don't stop with
laying down and drinking water. The docs say I should stay off my feet
as much as possible, not even do errands, but I'm normally very
athletic and this is making me feel...

hands-free baby carrier for klutzes? by
B. Felix
I have a 2.5-month-old son (and a 2.5-year-old son.) With both sons I
have been just an occasional user of the Sling-Ezee sling -- I'm not
that knowledgeable on slings but think this is just a typical "ring
sling" with padding around the edge. I am doing a little better with
DS2 but still honestly...

Middle name suggestions? by
Donna Metler
I think we're leaning towards Allison as a first name, so I'm looking for a
middle name to go between Allison and Metler-I'm thinking one syllable,
fairly simple.

Surely seems to be taking a long time to come.
I still breastfeed, but not as often.
Any ideas on when my cycle will come back?
Anyone else still not having theirs?

Fasting Test for GD - advice please by
Yvonne
Wednesday morning I'm having a test for gestational diabetes as I'm
overweight and considered at risk of getting it. I'm pretty confident the
results will be fine. But I'm puzzled... I have to fast for between 10 to 16
hours beforehand. The test will be done exactly two hours after taking...
