Re-Intro and Announcement by
Leslie
Hi, everyone. Some of you know me from mkb, and some of you may remember me
from my last pregnancy (William just turned three!).
I find myself unexpectedly pregnant with #5, due in late October/early
November. I'm not really sure when, since I wasn't paying attention! We
wanted another, but had...

Tearing up by
Fer
Isn't it odd how different pregnancies bring on different 'side effects'?
After mentioning lately how overall this preg I've been feeling great a new
oddity has popped up. My right eye (only) has decided to tear up whenever
it likes so A LOT. Talk about a pain in the a$$! Now after three days...

Sugar in Urine at 37 weeks by
KD
At my 37 week appt they found some sugar in my urine. Anything to
worry about? I did have some (4oz) orange juice and a bowl a cereal
about 3 hours prior to the appt. I get the impression it's not a big
deal, but should I start to try cutting out more sugar/carbs until
after I give birth? btw,...

Irritable Uterus by
Crystal Dreamer
Has anyone had an irritable uterus? My doctor told me that my uterus was
irritable, not sure if that's the same thing. What was it like for you? My
contractions were coming every two minutes, and Procardia has brought them
to a hault for now. They felt like my uterus was getting very...

GIRL!
Wooooooooooooohooooooooooo! My sweet little riot grrrl showed herself on
the ultrasound Tuesday afternoon. So now we're going to have to come up
with some girl names.
We hardly dared to hope for a girl. We already have such a stunningly
wonderful boy, it just seemed too perfect to add a...

Happy Happy Joy Joy--I'm pregnant! by
Dragon
I'm a 45 year old woman who's DS turned 4 in December. Hubster and I
have been attempting to create a sibling for him for over two years.
I've had three miscarriages--all at eight weeks. The eggs are just
getting too old, according to my OB....
Well, classic story, we finally gave up trying and...

Breastfeeding and picking your nose and eating it... by

PICKING YOUR NOSE AND EATING IT...
Herr Dr. Friedrich Bischinger of Austria says,
"'Medically it makes great sense and is a perfectly natural thing to do. In
terms of the immune system the nose is a filter in which a great deal of
bacteria are collected, and when this mixture arrives in the...

For those of you who work full time - by
KD
- how long do you plan to work before calling it quits? I mean, are
you planning to work right up until your due date? Or leaving a few
weeks early to rest and prepare?
I've been feeling fine, no major problems - puffy ankles, some leg
joint/groin pains, pretty tired, but OK otherwise. With my...

Quick breastfeeding question... by
Jill
this is just a quickie, I haven't yet started reading up thoroughly at
MKB...
How often can you pump productively, assuming you find a pump that works
well for you-- is it something like every 2 hours? Or something that you
just have to wait and try?
And one more, is it a bad idea to give the...

Have a laugh... by
Cam & Shane
Hello everyone,
Feel free to have a look at my web page. Be warned none of the photos are
flattering :-)))) but at least you can put a face to my name.
Cheers
Camille
PS We aren't really going to call our son Nemo - it's his in-utero (sp?)
name :-)

2weeks to go, yet we're riding as high as ever.
I'd like to hear from some naturally-labouring mums that didn't drop

38 week visit by
Nan
38w3d today and all is well :-)
I got my favorite OB out of the 4 in the practice.
I would *love* to have him on call when I go into labor!
He agreed internal exams are pointless, and he doesn't do them unless
the patient requests them.
We discussed my birthplan, and as he was looking it over, he...

Babies at the doctor-subject interface.. by
Todd Gastaldo
PREGNANT WOMEN: OBs are knowingly closing birth canals up to 30% and
gruesomely manipulating most babies' spines. See below.
With birth canals senselessly closed up to 30% (see PROOF below)...
OBs are pushing violently on tiny spines (with oxytocin, Cytotec and PGE2)
and pulling gruesomely...
