Monitoring Teen's Computer Use? by BeaverMom
I was concerned about my 14 year old's computer usage. She wanted a MySpace page like her friends but of course once she gets it she is meeting people from God knows where, who may or may not be what they say they are. Anyhow we wanted to allow her some room to grow but wanted to keep an eye on...

Funeral Etiquette? by Kat
First off, I don't even know for sure if this will even be an issue, but I want to try and be somewhat prepared should the topic arise... I guess we have a funeral on Monday. It's for my SIL's husband (N's sister) so, my BIL. He died on Monday, and we were just told that there's a 'viewing' on...

New York City Schools? by Chookie
Our Federal Education Minister has been spending a bit of time with Joel Klein lately: http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24165908-5013871,00.html At this point, I'm still unconvinced about the wisdom of league tables for Australian schools, for reasons we've discussed...

Why did men evolve foreskins if they are gross? by dejablues[_3_]
"George Orwell" wrote in message ... We all know that women dislike uncircumcised penises. So how the heck did men evolve with a foreskin? You'd think natural selection would weed these foreskins out. Tell me why...

DD2, the Blankie Baby by Kat
First off, I know I was a blankie baby. I *always* had to have my specific blanket. In all honesty, I still have a small shred of the blanket hidden away in my hope chest. I basically kept it and lived with it until it was shredded and frayed and falling apart and nothing was left of it. I...

Ideas for activities (13 month old) by Welches
#1 and #2 are doing all day (10am to 3pm) ballet school. #2 is thrilled because she thinks she is really "big" doing it. It's meant for from age 5yo but the teacher said she'd take her too. #1's pleased because she's just been told she got a merit in her ballet exam. I don't really know what...

Signing by Welches
#3 decided today that he'd start signing (milk). He's gone from 1-2 daytime feeds to about every half an hour. Now I'm thirsty... and I must make sure no one teaches him to sign "chocolate", that was a big mistake with #2. Any idea for the sign for "healthy foods" anyone? :-) Debbie

Laxatives by Dad[_2_]
A while ago there was a thread about some laxatives for kids; non-habit forming and non-addictive. It is available OTC. I can't find that. I tried Benefiber chew able tablets, they seem to give him a bloated tummy. This is for a 6yr old.
