Jaden's birth story (very, very long!) by
Cheryl S.
I started having contractions at 36 weeks. They continued for two
weeks, getting increasingly uncomfortable, and even prompted a "practice
run" to the birth center during week 37. At 38 weeks, my doula advised
crawling around to help the baby turn into a better position and
hopefully get the...

Good news/annoying news at 33-week appointment by
Erin
I had an ultrasound along with my 33-week appointment on Monday. At 22
weeks I'd been diagnosed with marginal placenta previa, and unfortunately
the midwife who told me the news had been quite scary when explaining the
problem and also left out how common it is at that stage, and how often it
goes...

Whatever happened to.... by
Sophie
Meghan - she had a son Killian, wanted a VBAC but had another c-section with
her daughter?
Amanda (I think her screen name was A Green). I think she had an Elijah
then a girl (or maybe another boy - I remember threads about more E names)?
Jess - she had Julianne, was very young?
Just curious...

Traveling with Newborns? by
Hiya, I was wondering when is it safe to take a few hour trips with a new
born? My wife is due in Nov and were thinking about dribing down to Central
CA. We are in Central WA. Its about a 18 hr non stop drive down. Do you
think that it is wise or we should wait a while longer? Thanks for...

Is this a little freaky? by
Laurie
*Probably pregnancy loss is mentioned in this post*
I just found out some sad news through a friend; a mutual friend of ours is
18 weeks pregnant, and just went in for her ultrasounds. They discovered
that she is pregnant with conjoined twins, and that they are sharing one set
of internal organs....

wonderful! They are estimating each to be 4 1/2 lbs. growing atthe same
rate. My results of Saturdays 3 hour blood sugar were normal, my blood

can't eat much...

[RESULTS] First baby labor poll by
Circe
Well, the thread seems to have died, so everyone who wanted to weigh in must
have done. Here are the results:
35 labors/births before 41w1d
27 labors/births on/after 41w1d
The 35 births before 41w1d includes one set of twins, 7 inductions before
EDD, and 1 c-section for pre-eclampsia. If those...

My OB fired me!!! by
JNJ
If thats the way he's going to be, then you are better off with out him!
Doctors should expect to get all kinds of questions, and you deserve a
straight answer for your questions or conserns. I mean come on, you're
paying him to treat you and the baby! Sounds like he's just lazy when it
comes to...

lab test by
JNJ
Well I was just wanting to keep everyone up to date. I went to the lab and
had my blood work done today. I guess I'll have to call my doctor in a few
days to get the results. Even though my home test was positive, I'm still
nervous about how this test will come out.
Wow! They took 7 vials of...

Miscarriage Question by
Carol Ann
How long after symptoms disappear does spotting or bleeding begin?
The ONLY symptom I have is soreness in my breasts and that seems to be
waning.
My girlfriend said that her baby stopped growing at 8 weeks but she didn't
spot until her 11th week. That just doesn't sound logical to me. At...

Hi there by
Naomi Rivkis
I used to hang around here despite not being pregnant, because I liked
the subject. I dropped it after TTC became too difficult and it was
starting to depress me. Now, after being told I would never be able to
conceive naturally, I went and did less than two weeks later, so I'm
back, pregnant...

Jogging stroller by
[email protected]
I do not jog but I walk a lot and I live on a dirt road and mostly walk on dirt roads so this time
around I want a jogging stroller. Is there a jogging stroller that will fit into a smaller car
trunk? I have a Toyota Tercel. I also have an Aerostar Van but I hate driving that gas guzzler.

We bought a booster seat for my 58 pount 4 yr. old son yesterday and im just
terrified of it! The other car seat was in the rear center and this one is on

through it on the side and then around Matt. The shoulder belt...

Double stroller half-life and logistics by
Laurie
Ok, so I already have a double stroller. Truth be told, I have 2. I really
don't like either of them, and am trying to decide if it's worth it to go
for a nice new one with the bells and whistles or just to stop being such a
damn princess and stick with the two I've got. ;)
Brief summary is that...
