36 week update by
Kari
Time for my little update :)
Not too much to report. I can't believe Im at the once a week check-up stage
though! Baby is growing nicely, estimated weight right now is 6-6.5 lbs so
Im thinking another 8+ pounder for me. I've gained 27 lbs which is more than
I would have liked at this point but ah...

living without a baby...rant, long by
Shannon
I have a history of drug use. I should say I had a history. It was over 5
years ago, the last time I used drugs was March 9th 1998. Here I sit with a
drug test that is positive for cocaine. A test I volunteered to do. It was a
hair strand test going back 6 months. I did the test for Family and...

Continuation of my living without a baby rant....
I just found out that FACS will not stop my husband and I from seeing our
kids that live elsewhere, my stepson(2) lives with his mom and my
daughter(7) lives with her dad. They said we have to inform them of what is
going on, we do not have to give...

a few questions by
JNJ
Hi all! Back in July I did my intro post. I stated that I was going off of
bc and we were just going to let nature take its course. Well, end of july
I had my last period. August came and went with no period, but I had, and
still have, pains every so often that seems like it could come any...

Passing the time.... by
Fer
So here I am on CD26 of my first TTC cycle and the wait is starting to get
to me! 'Normally' my non- bcp cycle is around 21 days. I came off depo
last year and found if I was even hours late taking a BCP I started to spot.
Even when I stopped taking them, forgot to pick up the scrip on time,...

Bringing in my boys for the end of the birth by
Larry McMahan
OK. Let me state my biases first. :-) We had our daughter Clara
present for the birth of her brother Niel when she was 22 months old.
I strongly feel that it is a very positive experience for family bonding.
You will still need someone to be with the boys and bring them in when
it is time. ...

help please! by

Hi folks :) I have a sincere question to ask and hope I don't get
flamed for it.
I am a web designer by trade and am working on a site for a client who
holds a patent on an exercise unit that is being marketed as a both a
breast toner / supportive muscle exerciser and a non surgical
alternative...

Vent.... by
JNJ
I really hate when people do this sort of thing. Its one thing if its your
parents cuz you expect them to have a *few* things to say. When its a
total stranger doing it, I want to say "What is wrong with you?".
I choose not to disclose the names I am thinking of out of fear that they
may steal...

membrane stripping doc and general update by
Stephanie
OI. I wrote last week about thinking my doc stripped (swept? what is
the correct term?) my membranes without telling me. I finally decided
it was worth a call to the practice since I did not want him showing
up at my delivery! I spoke with the newish nurse midwife. I thought I
could ask her how I...

Sleeping on the side? by
Khan
Hi there,
I am 28 weeks and now having great difficulty sleeping as I am most used to
sleeping on my back. Now the doctor suggested I should sleep on either side
but preferably on the left side (Blood circulation reasons). I have bought a
body pillow but when I am lying on my side it feels that...

Baltimore Birth Center by
Joanna Kimball
I had my first appointment today, at 5w4d. It was a trial of the Baltimore
Birth Center, where it looks like we will be continuing.
Review: The BBC is an adapted older house near Baltimore Hebrew University.
The offices and exam room(s)--I only saw one but I assume there are
more--are in the...

For those moms who feed powder formula (non-supplemental), how many

Not looking like it's going to be this week..... by
Karen
I saw my midwife for my appt this morning. Little dude is fine and so am
I. I'm 2-3/50% (didn't get into station but his head is well applied to
my cervix) which isn't enough to justify inducing me this week. I'm
booked for induction next Wednesday though (41w-41w5d) (I'm going to see
about moving...

35+ week ob/gyn appointment by
Elly
I had my regular ob/gyn appointment yesterday; this was my last
every-4-weeks-scheduled appt, from now on, as it seems right now, I will be
seeing her in 2 weeks, and from there every week until the delivery (it
should be 4 appts in total, in case I don't go past my due date).
Short version:...
