vegans sentenced for baby death by
Anne Rogers[_2_]
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18574603/
seems to me the fact they are vegan is irrelevant, the article seems to
imply they were using this as defence, but doesn't mention breastfeeding at
all. I checked out a few vegan sites about breastfeeding and cannot find
anything against it, in fact the...

breast examinations by
Anne Rogers[_4_]
I met someone today who is in need of a full breast screening, a
specific problem as well has her being 40 is the reason. She is
breastfeeding a 19mth old.
She has been referred by her doctor for breast MRI, but she cannot find
a radiologist who is prepared to do it, the contrast mediums all...

each year, our church has either a women's retreat where they go away
for two nights and have a speaker, or a conference where they have a
speaker for Friday evening and multiple sessions on Saturday but at the
church so no one has to stay away from home.
Each year the only restriction placed...

follow up to "Tips to decrease nighttime nursing?" by

I just noticed a new post, a couple of weeks after I thought this thread
was done with. I spotted something very interesting....
"In
addition, I had the worst ever case of engorgement with 2 kids, and
every tiny little baby noise made me let down during the night AND my
breasts absolutely...

how much to express... by
Anon Ymous
we have an exclusively breastfed baby of 5 weeks. the wife has to have
pretty powerful antibiotics for a week- hence no breast for 2 weeks.
my question: how much should she express to keep the breast secretion
up for when she resumes breast feeding ? ie 60-70 mls times five be
okay- relying on...

I had over-active letdown with my first baby. Is it a given that I'll
have it with this next one, or is every time different? Just curious...

avoiding nursing to sleep by
Anonymama
My son nursed to sleep every night, and couldn't fall asleep without
nursing. I ended up nightweaning (other than going to bed) when he was
one or two years old (it's all a blur) and it was hard on all of us --
but I was going insane from lack of sleep as he'd wake up every hour or
two and want to...

What's the best way to treat diarrhea -- mine, not the baby's -- while
nursing a newborn? The BRAT diet doesn't seem to be helping.

Boppy case by
Anonymama
I'd like to sew a cover for my old Boppy. I have a sewing machine, but
I'm fairly incompetent at anything other than straight lines. Any advice
on how to make the cover -- how it should work (e.g. just a tube, a
u-shaped case, or...?) and what kind of fabric would be best?

Do you trust breastfeeding as a reliable form of birth control? by
Anonymous User
Many articles state that during the first six months of the postpartum period, if you continue to breastfeed regularly and exclusively and your periods do not return, breastfeeding is between 98% and 99% effective as a contraceptive. However, my ob/gyn told me that "breastfeeding is not reliable...

Do you give your baby a Vitamin D supplement? by
Anonymous User[_3_]
Our pediatrician has told us to give our baby a Vitamin D supplement but that goes against the grain when you're breastfeeding exclusively. We want to avoid anything 'artificial' in the first 6 months. Now, we're wondering how much sun exposure is required to produce Vitamin D whilst still being...

Breastfeeding baby's intelligence is higher... by
Anthony and Tracey
Some resources had claimed that breastfeeding baby's intelligence is
much better than babies without breastfeeding, or purely depand on milk
powder. How true is it?
