Need help- any cooks out there? by
Ashley's mommy
Hi,
I have a 2 year old daughter and a husband. I am a SAHM. The only
problem is I'm not good at it (meals, that is). It's not that I don't
cook well, I just don't have any creativity to even come up with meal
ideas. This may be hard to believe, but I literally stress over what to
cook for...

Those dreaded Early Release Days--VENT by
chiam margalit
I'm just thinking out loud here about my least favorite part of
school, the early release day.
We only have a few, because parents complain so vociferiously about
them, but yet another Early Release Day is upon us tomorrow. And this
time I have absolutely no coverage because there just isn't any...

decrease church by

Hiya all
it might be appropriate to extend the angel of the religion differently;
Now After discussing about the church and the concept of the religion penance, it
should be interesting to deploy the salvation of the religion accurately;

At wit's end (looooong) by

From everything I've heard here military school is not a good option for my
SS. That conversation was evolving into a whole different conversation, so
I decided to start a new thread on a different subject.
We don't know what to do anymore. I've tried to write the whole story
below. It's going...

no toys please by
toypup
If a kid's birthday invitation states "No toys PLEASE," do you think that
means no toys but other gifts are okay or do you think that means no
presents period? My first impression was it meant no gifts, but then I go
to thinking. . . .sigh

There Was No "Middle School" Back In The Day by
Way Back Jack[_11_]
I understand that middle school comprises grades 6-8.
Back in the day, govt. schools had these classifications:
Grades 1-6, elementary school; grades 7-9, jr. high school; grades 10-12,
high school.
Certain high schools offered 9th grade classes for kids who had excelled
academically through 8...

Wouldn't Want To Go To School Today by
Way Back Jack[_9_]
If you use as a measuring stick the success you have enjoyed and the
ability to retire in your early 50s, Catholic elementary school in the
1950s and Catholic high school in late '50s-early '60s sho nuff worked
for me. It contributed at least significantly, albeit not totally.
It wasn't for...

entering kindergarten early by
Beliavsky
My son will be four in August and already knows many of the things
taught in kindergarten, according to book and web sites I have read.
He can read simple books, recognizing common words by sight.
We live in Massachusetts. Officially, he is not old enough to enter
kindergarten, but I think waiting...

the dreaded "sleep thru night" thread by
[email protected]
I've been reading a lot of newsgroup archives on this issue on google and
it seems like a pretty hot topic. My son started sleeping thru the night
at 3 months. We let him cry it out and in 30 minutes he was down.
We moved and this threw his schedule off. My wife wasn't able to let him
cry it...
