Delurking again to ask a question by
Leslie
It seems like lately I've barely had time to even keep up with the group, my
life has been so crazy. My mother, who lives with us, had a heart attack a
couple months ago. At the same time, the boys' grandpa (their dad's dad) was
killed in a car accident. Then of course there's all the spring work...

Santa Claus by
Cindy Senger
I'm wondering how many of your kids still believe in Santa, how old they were
when they stopped believing, and how you explained the whole myth to them. A&A
are five and now in K and DH and I are thinking that there will be some kids
who have figured it out. A&A still believe and one of them...

explaining special needs people to children by
The Fackrell's
Just tell her the truth...w/o all the scientific facts behind it.....I doubt
she'll understand nor would you want to start explaining what a chromosome
is! LOL......and if in doubt, ASK....ask the child's mother how she would
like things explained

Dealing with death by
Andrea
Hi Everyone-
Last month our precious Lab died suddenly while the girls and I were in
Virginia visiting my parents. We are not really sure what happened to her. She
was almost 10 years old, which is kind of old for a Lab, but not ancient. DH
said that she stopped eating her food a couple days...

Thanks to all who replied by
looneybird
Well, I just wanted to thank everyone who replied to my original post
"Boy/Girl Anatomy". Here's the conclusion I've come to:
I've told Jenna that "the place where her pee comes from" is called her
Urethra. I am actually amazed at how she has mastered the word. At first
she was saying "Mommy,...

silly putty stuck in clothes and hair by
Leslie
Any suggestions on how to remove silly putty from clothes and hair? I didn't
see that Alex took some to bed with him last night. The shoulder of his
pajama top is covered. I've picked a lot of it out, but some still remains.
It's also in his hair a little.
TIA-

Reminder charts for midnight madness? by
Gary
As a new father of twin boys I often find myself at 3 AM, when I am
not thinking very clearly and do not have loads of patience,
confronted with one or more unhappy babies.
They've been home about 4 weeks and I am learning slowly what
possibilities exist for calming the boys. They...

anyone remember me? by
Gretchen
Hi, just wondering if there are people here who remember me; I lived in
Israel and had b/g twins named Emily and Edan, born March 1, 1999. We moved
back to the US (Florida) about 2 years ago and I haven't had access to the
newsgroup until today! I've so missed reading it. BTW, after going...

Our New Ford Freestar - the "Perfect" Family Car? NOT! A Rant by
TwinMom
OK, when you have twin car seats, etc., plus other kids, you pretty much
resign yourself to the "mommy van" brigade. Or at least we did. Before the
boys were born, we bought a new Ford Windstar (96) and it served us very
well. After 80K miles, we decided to finally replace it with another car
that...

How long would you let a 1yo cry? by
Marie
I have struggled for many months to get my twin boys to nap--*in* their
cribs (as opposed to in the moving car, in the moving stroller, in my arms,
etc.), and *at* the same time (as opposed to one waking up right when I
finally get the second one to sleep). Not only do they need the sleep but
(I...
