preschool speech by toypup
What sounds do 3 yo's have a hard time making? DS has a hard time with the "r" and the "th" and the "l" and the "n" and the "sl" and the "f" (at the end of "Jeff") and the "s" (like in "sign") and the "m". He drops sounds at the beginning and end of words. Some of the sounds he'll make in some...

My child is 11 and in grade 5. He has ADD as well as a learning disability; he is currently on meds for the ADD. He seems to be behind in maturity level, even though I have kept him back one grade. He has no real friends and no self confidence even though I have put him in an endless number of...

crusty scalp by Sara
My almost-two-year-old has a crusty scalp. I don't think it's cradle cap -- he's too old, to begin with, and the spots are dark. He doesn't have dandruff, as far as I've noticed. The little patches come off if I scrape them. Shampooing doesn't seem to help. Any ideas what it might be? -- Sara,...

Keeping them in their room by Shelley
My DS (2yr, 8mo) has just learned to climb out of his crib. I don't mind that to much as we have to change him to a "big-boy" bed anyway because I am expecting #2 in March, but it's the fact that he won't stay in his room for even 5 minutes that is driving me nuts. I have tried to be nice, then...
