I wonder what their positions are on:

Defending a family that is clearly guilty of child abuse?

question about Pottery Barn Kids by
Joanne
Hi, I am new here. I am trying to decorate my daughters room and I
heard that some of the stuff from Target's "Flowers etc" collection
matches an old PBK's collection. I was hoping to mix and match but I
don't know the name of the collection (I think it may be from last
year?) Does anyone know the...

For people with nannies/au pairs by
Nancy P
Do your kids get to interact with other children on a regularly scheduled
basis? How does this work? Are people receptive to having nannies show up
at home-based playgroups? And if they rotate, do the nannies host
playgroup at your house while you're at work?
Do you provide your nanny with...

Lack of interest in preschool by
Liz
Our 4 year old was very excited about starting preschool. About 1
month before starting he decided he is not going. This is fine since
it is just 2 mornings a week it wasn't anything he had to do. We
thought it would be more of a 'fun' experience for him than anything
else and give him an extra...

Child Crying and Pre-School by
Billy
Our 2 1/2 year old daughter started a catholic pre-school just one month
ago. Since that time, she's cried every day as my wife walks her to the
class and leaves. Several times she threw a tantrum and kicked my wife and
cried hysterically. My wife says the older children only cried the first...

Any crocheters out there? by
Marie
I am wanting to crochet some simple hats (and maybe some mitts) for my
babies, but I am having *no* luck finding any patterns: almost everything
out there is for knitting, and the few crochet ones I find are *way* too
girly for my boys. Anyone know of any on-line sites that provide simple
crochet...

Terrified toddler! (long) by
Laurie
Something interesting happened today and I'm not sure what else to do.
About 6 months ago, we had some work done in our basement (just before
Christopher was born) and the workmen used lots of drills and loud tools.
They were here several nights that I worked, and my husband had to take
Jessica...

Some good school news for a change by
Circe
As I posted when the school year began, I was a bit concerned that Julian
might have some personality/style conflicts with his first grade teacher. To
my great pleasure, I appear to have been wrong. Julian has told all of us
that he really like his teacher a lot.
He still claims not to like...

Our Major Updates! (Long!) by
Laurie
So much is going on around here, thought I'd post it all in one update!
First of all, Christopher. Wow, I can't believe he's growing so fast. It
makes me sad and happy at the same time. My little man can't be almost half
a year old already! He's SUCH a cutie pie, smiles all the time and has...

Guardians 4 yr kids-CPS can intervene-Grandparents not always chosen by

And, as the article notes, children may possibly be placed in foster care.
Parents with children under 18, should appoint Guardians for their children,
since it is possible that they will be placed with someone completely contrary
to YOUR WISHES.

Newborn Acne?? Scabs?? by
Adrian
Hello,
Our 2 month old has had baby acne for the last 3 weeks. The acne has
appeared to stop, but her forehead and scalp have turned into a scabby
mess.
I know baby acne is common, but I never about the scabby after-effect.
Is that normal too?
Thank you,
