Stopping breastfeeding - need "how to" for *MOM* (not child)... by
Amy Ridder
After much consideration, I've decided now's the right time to stop
breastfeeding. Little Steven is now 7 mos, he has been taking formula
as much or more than my milk, and often drinks my milk from a bottle
anyway. Also have a fair amount of my milk stored frozen. So, I'm
not worried so much...

Green nappies by
Deirdre
Hello all,
De-lurking again, as I'm wont to do now & then for a question:
DS has had very slightly green-tinged poops intermittently for the last 10
days or so, and I've been trying to make sure to feed from one breast per
session to prevent foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. In the last 3 days...

breastfeeding myths by
Shell
A few years ago the group put together a list of breastfeeding myths. I
have them but they're in bad shape. Would anyone object if I posted them to
the group in attachment format?

I didn't know what to say by
Cheryl S.
I was recently talking to an acquaintance in my Moms Club. She has a 3
month old baby and started talking about how she thought she was going
to stop bf soon because she thinks he's about to get teeth, and he's
only nursing twice a day now anyway. But then a bit later in the
conversations she...

hair by
Sara
I recently got a haircut, and much of the hair I have left is
post-partum (what? I say I can use it like this, so pffft). It seems
to me that my hair has turned coarser since I gave birth. Has anyone
else experienced this?

DD is better! by
CY
My DD is better now after almost a week of vomiting, diarrea and then ear
and bladder infections. It was no fun.
She is now incredibly clingly and whiny, and throws tantrums or cries at the
drop of a hat. I do hope this is just because she doesn't feel good and
it's not the terrible two's. It's...

skeptic mom by
Dustin Keeler
If it's uncomfortable for her, dont do it, I know, I know...
Our daughter is 1 month old, and because she 'needs' it, my wife
breast-feeds, but has confided in me that if it didn't need be done, she'd
rather stop.
My question: Can I afford a wet nurse? I'd rather she never stopped, but
I'm not in...

Well I just wanted to share my happiness with somebody because not many ppl
irl seems to think this is an "accomplishment", and you are the only people
I know (aside from two irl friends) that will pat me on the back!
My DD just turned 2 and we are still nursing strong. And thank goodness

X Posted: Pics of Jen 37 Weeks and Laszlo's 2nd Party by

The belly casts are Laszlo on the left at 33 weeks and Lily on the right at
37 weeks...they are basically identical, which I think is pretty funny!
Also, the Hello Baby book that Laszlo's reading is so cool because everyone
in it (except...

Nursing toddler too much? by
Sarah
Hello everyone. A toddler who nurses too much? Many of you may say,
"impossible!", but read on....I have a 21 month old boy who nurses
25-40+ times a day or more. When I have told this to some of my
friends, including those who are long term associated with LLL--even
their reactions include...

Weight gain in 4 mo old by
Kari
Im not exactly what the "norm" is but I thought I'd ask from other
experienced mom's on here.
My son was 8lb 5oz at birth, 10lb 15oz at 2 weeks, 12lb 12oz at 2 mos. All
good gains.
At his 4mo checkup, he was 14lbs even. Is that a normal gain between mos
2-4? Only a hair over a lb?
He is still...
