good morning by Anonymama
I have the impression that babies like to be born in the godforsaken early hours -- my first was born at four o'clock in the morning (after I'd been in labor for one night, one day, and another night). Is that really how things are, or am I mistaken? And if so, why is it that serious labor so often...

When is it possible to feel BH contractions? I swear I've been feeling them for two weeks, but I'm only 10 weeks along. -- accompanied by TK, number two, due in April of 2006

charting v. peeing on a stick (TTC) by Anonymama
Other than the expense, are there any drawbacks to using ovulation detection pee-on-a-stick kits instead of charting when trying to conceive?

lochia (a tad gross, duh) by Anonymama
Ignorant question he what is lochia? Where is that gunk coming from (um, originally, that is)? Is it blood that would have gone to the fetus? With my first, it was like a period that lasted six weeks. This time it seems to already be tapering out, but the blood is very different -- it's...

Best book on relaxing? by Anonymama
A terrible cramp in my leg tonight -- and my panicked response -- reminded me that I really need to brush up on my relaxation techniques. Any recommendations for particular books or audio books? They don't have to be pregnancy-specific. Thanks! -- Sara accompanied by TK, due in April Quoting, for...

What best helps ease morning sickness? by Anonymous User[_2_]
I'm getting fed up of reading that I should eat dry toast or crackers - it really doesn't help me. My sister-in-law said that eating every 2 hours helped her but I just can't face it I don't want to eat. Does anyone have any other suggestions? -- What best helps ease morning...

Best strategy for coping with teething by anthony
Just when you think you have your baby's routine all sorted out, a little white thing pokes through his rosy gum, and suddenly your household is thrown into chaos. You have to contend with waking up at nite, food being spat out at you, and a grizzly, dribbly little person who needs round-the-clock...

Nausea - an update by anyone4tea
Well, it seems that there are several triggers to my NVP. Having discovered them, things really seem to have improved immensely. 1) Orange juice 2) Toothpaste 3) Flossing my teeth. 4) Cheese Pasta definitely seems to go down well, as do ham sandwiches (ham cooked at home), boiled eggs and toast.

Another nausea thread - different subject though! :) by anyone4tea
Hi everyone, You're probably all aware of my situation right now - 6 weeks and feeling rough. Many of you have provided solutions, and thank you so much. My question is: does nausea get progressively worse over the weeks before it gets better?? In other words do people generally feel worse by...

Nausea - help! by anyone4tea
Hi people, My nausea has been getting progressively worse and this morning I have done virtually nothing. Half an hour after I got up (hubby was still asleep), I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. I had eaten nothing so had to drink some water quickly to help me. This nearly happened again...

Little boy circumcision - argument with dh by anyone4tea
Hi everyone, I'm pregnant with my first, and I'm too early yet to know the gender. However, if it is a little boy I am adamant that I don't want him circumcised; I don't want my newborn to have to go through that level of pain for unnecessary surgery. Unfortunately, my husband is adamant that if...
